We were 9 expat visited San Gregorio de Polanco and choose to stay in this hotel which turned out to be very bad experience for us. We had spoken with owner over phone to do advance booking since the hotel room seemed sold out in ***********. Sounds strange but he agreed to give us 3 rooms at a reasonable price and also agreed for a early check-in (11.30 am) n late check out ( 12.30 -1 pm) next day since we traveled from Montevideo. On day of arrival it looked different. We were asked to take 4 rooms instead of agreed 3 rooms saying that the extra room is free for us. But in reality we were charged for 3900 per room which is very high in comparison to normal rate for given rooms. Till now we were ok with it as it was a experience for us to stay in this hotel as it's very beautiful n located centrally in the city with essential commodities near by available. On day of check out we did see the change in the owner behavior from morning. We were spoken a bit rudely if we asked for any thing on breakfast. Main issue raised when we were asked to check out by 10 am rudely. We tried to remind politely that we had a deal with owner for a late checkout and please give us sometime as we have to pack the bags and shower accordingly. The owner showed rude behavior and didn't agree for it giving absurd reason for cleaning purpose. We had to rush pack and leave the rooms without shower for Montevideo. To be very honest we never this kind of dual and rudely behavior from any hotel/ hostel owners in Uruguay. We felt Racists behavior from owners also since other guests were given time and priority starting from breakfast service till check out timing. Highly NON recommended hotel.
