Have just left the Sofia Hotel after spending a week at this stunning family run hotel. Vassilis, Manolis, and Nova are the family that provide first-class service. Backed with a super team of staff who keep this hotel immaculate, it really was a pleasure to stay. Friendly and funny, you feel in a short space of time that you have been embraced with Greek love. The breakfast offering is wide with hot food, Yoghurt home-made jams, cakes and cookies with juice, tea, and coffee in abundance. The gardens are lush, the pool is wonderful, the bar serves up amazing cocktails, and the rooms are very comfortable with loads of hot water. I loved it, and my thanks go to all at Hotel Sofia for giving me a holiday that ticked all the boxes. Go guys!

For a 2 star hotel this was probably the best experience I've had. The staff were amazingly friendly and welcoming. There was nothing that was too much of an ask for them. The rooms were freshly painted and decorated with clean white sheets and were a decent size. The bathrooms while dated, were clean and functional. Included in the price was breakfast which was outstanding everyday. Eggs cooked to order with sweet, savoury or continental options available. Dietary requirements are also catered for. Their Saturday bbq was some of the best food I've had anywhere in Greece. I would definitely stay here again. When I arrived I was a guest but when leaving, the owners, Vasily and Nova were friends. Hotel Sofia is highly recommended.

Currently here at this perfect little oasis (for my fourth visit), Sofia Hotel, on Samos Island in the Aegean Sea. Five stars is not adequate to describe the hospitality, the rooms, the gardens and the general friendly atmosphere that abounds. The breakfast buffet is simply amazing, with home cooked foods every day, eggs cooked to your liking, and tasty sweets freshly baked. Lunches are delicious as well, with many fresh options, huge portions very economically priced. The bar offers anything you could possibly ask for, as well as beer on tap. The gardens are impeccably tended to daily, and the rooms cleaned with a personal touch, not easy tasks in the heat. The pool is inviting and refreshing. We have met so many people from different countries over the years, and have made life long lasting friendships. It’s no wonder some guests have been returning for up to 29 years!!! If you are looking for a perfect holiday, hosted by an exceptional family that attends your every need, look no further ❤️

We ware looking for a hotel with pool and bar! We got….. the nicest people, perfect clean pool, nice clean room with air conditioning, cold beers, friendly guests, bad joke’s , good breakfast, very nice time, beach on 60 meters. And last but not least.. a beautiful Country side. Please people… find out by yourself! Thank you, Manoli, Vasilis, family and guests!

I had a wonderful, relaxing 2 wk holiday at the Sofia Hotel, after spending two weeks in Italy . I was picked up from the airport by a staff member , and enjoyed the wonderful scenic journey to the other side of the island . Our rooms were clean and very quiet . Breakfast is included in the tariff and was amazing with its variety . All staff were so friendly . Vasilis, Nova. Manoli, Stavro, and Yianni and Sofia went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable, and relaxed . Kampos the village has many excellent restaurants , within easy walking distance . The beach opposite the hotel is about 2 km long with heaps of space to relax for the day . The hotel has a large pool with plenty of sun beds . I hope to return in a few years , to stay at this wonderful family run hotel .Greek hospitality at its finest .

My friend and I discovered this beautiful gem of a place 6 years ago as a last minute booking and we have been coming back ever since. A family run hotel where nothing is too much trouble. Wonderful staff and a real feeling of 'belonging'. Go here and you will fall in love with it. Thank you as always to all of you for another perfect holiday.

Thank you Vasilis, Nova, Manoli, Georgina, and the whole team at Hotel Sofia. We came back with a group of 28 to celebrate our wedding, as our previous memories had been so special. We all had a such fantastic time that before we left there was talk of a reunion!! You can’t fault the hospitality, the friendliness, cleanliness, food and quality that the family and team put in to Hotel Sofia. Thank you sooo much for making our memories of our wedding so special, see you soon my friends (not tourists) x

Such a gem! It's a family run facility and their kindness and attention to clients and the hotel is outstanding! Vasilis, Nova, Sofía and their crew are just the most wonderful people! The rooms have balconies, or easy access to the pool, or quiet little porches. The pool is fantastic, clean and surrounded by wonderful trees and plants, (Vasilis takes care of them personally) there's an outdoor oven and chez longues, tables where you can have lunch and a cold beer, and even a pool table by the bar under the gorgeous pagoda. The environment is so pleasing and gorgeous, that we fell in love with this incredible place from the very first moment! It's an oasis on a magical island. There are clients that have been coming here for decades, and that unbeatable publicity. Often times the family organizes barbecues with their guests, and grilling is a Greek national sport Vasilis mastered quite well.
