Sami Beach Hotel

Our stay at Sami Beach Hotel with a group of friends was an unforgettable experience. We all can’t wait to come back. Great location close to Sami Port. Clean rooms and lovely views. Played tennis on their court, bar and pool to cool down. Breakfast a great selection and delicious. Staff very friendly and helpful. Booked tours from front office. When leaving strong winds caused a sudden change in plans and needed to pack in a hurry. Spiros the manager was so helpful in helping us find the ferry office to pick up new tickets. While waiting to board the ferry Spiros personally delivered a couple of pairs of shoes we left behind. Hospitality is natural for gentlemen like Spiros and his staff.

Lovely Friendly Hotel, we stayed here as a base for a family wedding nearby. Staff super friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Mainly adults here. Showers powerful although make sure you have plug twisted to open otherwise when you realise it floods out of other one in bathroom. Aircon worked well and quiet enough we kept on overnight. Breakfast, pretty chilled out. Bar reasonable for alcohol but buy your crisps at supermarket in Sami as almost half price in supermarket. You pay for laziness!. Only other comment not about hotel but beach, make sure you have shoes you can wear swimming it's all stones and very painful on bare feet!

Lovely comfortable, spotlessly clean hotel. The owners are the most kind, friendly generous people, their staff are very hard working and they all make the most wonderful team. This isn’t our first visit and it won’t be our last, perfect location and perfect holiday, very highly recommended.

The hotel was amazing. The reception was very attentive, and the rooms were clean and orderly. With its beachfront location, you can sip your drink on a sunbed at night, stroll along the shore, or enjoy the nearby clubs. Much appreciated, thanks.

Chosen from reviews as we were spending a few days in Kefalonia before joining family for a flotilla sailing holiday. In summary - the 5 star overall review is well deserved. A family-run hotel with a 100% customer-centric team. Nothing was too much trouble. Location great - on a pebble beach with easy access along the shore to Sami (plenty of restaurants) and close to Agia Effimia (15 minute drive to more restaurants). The Melanisi cave is nearby, only a short walk away. Plus a short drive to the famous Drogorati cave, large enough to host an orchestra. Comfortable room - good bed and bathroom, with a balcony and view of mountains. Lovely breakfast catering for various European tastes. Great facilities - the sea nearby, plus a lovely pool. Several covered areas to sit with loungers and chairs. Outdoor bar serving excellent range of drinks + food. They have their own drivers to collect you from the airport (beautiful mountain route) and also run an on-demand taxi service to all locations. A good place to chill. Smiles all round. Very popular - 80% rebooking rate!!

After researching and reading reviews that people return year after year we booked 9 nights in a sea view room. We were not disappointed. From the moment that Billy picked us up from the airport to the moment he dropped us back again we were made to feel welcome. Spiros and his family and all the staff go out of their way to make sure everything is ok for you. They always have a smile on their face. It is a lovely setting right on the beach. The pool was never too busy and there were plenty of sun beds and tables and chairs for use during the day. Pool towels are available at the hotel. The bar is open all through the day up till midnight with option for lunch between 12-4. We paid for breakfast and it was a varied selection with cooked food to breads fruit salads yogurt. There is a couple of tavernas at Karavomylos but there are plenty along the front in Sami which is around a 15 minute walk along the promenade. It is just so lovely sitting there on the waterfront at night. Caroline on reception booked us a boat trip to Ithaca which was beautiful and very worthwhile. Rooms have everything you need with kettle and fridge. The only thing I wish I had brought with me was my hairdryer. On the day we left we had to vacate our room and leave our luggage in reception but downstairs is a bathroom with shower etc so we could freshen up before leaving. All in all we had a fabulous holiday and definitely want to return. Can thoroughly recommend. Thank you.
