Gorgeous hotel. I will stay again. Food was fabulous. The outside bar was enjoyable. I highly recommend. The view was also relaxing watching the boats.

Servicio pobre, poor service Necesita renovación por todas partes. Need big renovations. Breakfast very basic. Very nice views and area to walk. Spa area quite nice but costly. Dinner: food nice, service ok. I wonder why the community allow them to keep the historical building in such a state.

We arrived by boat and walked up to and into the hotel. We were greeted with spectacular decor from years gone by, with big windows, wood panelling and various splashes of gold and cream. We headed for the grand dining room and our table was located in an ideal spot in the corner of the room. We chose from the a la carte menu and everyone was pleased with both the service and the food. The wine selection was appreciated too! We had an enjoyable evening and the Grand Hotel provided us with the ideal location for our client dinner.

This hotel is a gem! Its located right at the harbor with a beautiful view of the sea. It should be noted that the hotel is under (an overdue) renovation - and the web page does not reflect this. But even so, beautiful location, nice and helpful staff and very good rate (30% for summer and maybe due to the renovation)? I loved the breakfast - we sat at the terrace and it was just perfect. We didn't use the spa facilities. Note that IF you are visiting Stockholm then this is about 45 minutes by public transport that stops in the evening around midnight! There are only one other restaurant in the area - down at the harbor good but VERY busy! We didn't try the hotel restaurant. We had the standard room on fourth overlooking the sea but not the harbor and no balcony. But it was nice and spacious.

Was here for a work conference with a one night stay. Was here over 10 years ago and remember it was old and run down, it still is. Got a small room with a bathroom that really needed to be renovated. Very good lunch the first day but I was not as impressed with the dinner and the lunch on day two. Ok breakfast but I expect more given how good Swedish breakfasts in hotels usually are. Would choose another place for my next conference.

2nd stay in this grand old building with authentic 19th century atmosphere and excellent front desk service.. Still with elegance and luxury feeling although a bit fading due to an obvious need of maintenance. Upgraded to a superior room with nice old décor and nice sea view. In particular the wooden balcony and the windows seriously need refurbishment. Breakfast served in the faboulous restaurant hall. Quality is unfortunately still below the level you would expect from an old, classy hotel. To be improved! The new restaurant built at the sea front may give restaurant guests a view experience but it does not add anything good to the hotel itself, visually or noise-wise. At the last visit six years ago it was said: ‘Refurbishment will be started soon’. Same story this year, same story every year? When it really begins, please do it carefully to keep the atmosphere intact.

A beautiful, elegant hotel looking out on to a marina on the archipelago - Not far from Stockholm but far enough to feel like you have gone to one of the many islands in the area - The staff are so friendly (Andalucia among others), the rooms really comfortable and the dining room is amazing. The chef really knows how to prepare a delicious dinner so, if you can, defo splash out one night. The breakfast has to be one of the very best I've had in a hotel - In particular, the kids loved the waffles. And it also had one of the best games rooms too - Shuffleboard was a big hit!

We were positively surprised. Located in the archipelago of Stockholm, this extraordinary hotel gives a fantastic view over the water. The food is out of this world and the staff amazing. A very nice wellness area open until late night.

The hotel in grand but it is also in need of TLC. The paint is coming off at places, the carpet in the stairs are worn to shreds, the shower head in our room could not be fastened and someone had tried to jam it in place with toilet paper, door lining was loose and just 4 channels on the telly. But there are good thing with this stay as well. The staff is friendly and helpful and the view over the bay is magnificent. In some way I got the feeling of a sinking Titanic; the staff is keeping up appearances as well as possible, but the ship is going under.
