Golden Avenida Family Suites

We've just got back from a fantastic holiday here. It's has great facilities for families and my 6 and 10 year absolutely loved them, particulary the pool! The staff are helpful and very friendly and I would love to know where the entertainments team get their energy from as they were so enthusiastic and fun at all times. They were great at engaging the kids in the activities and making them all feel special. The food is good and there is plenty of choice to suit everyone, and the rooms are spacious and kept spotlessy clean. We didn't want to leave and will definitely come back.

Just back from 1 week here with my husband & 3yr old. Beautiful Hotel, very clean & well run. Great location also, 10-15 min walk to the beach & shops/bars. Staff are very helpfull & friendly. The kids club & entertainment was v good, my only criticism was I found it to be on too late for us so we only attended twice in the weeks stay. We went for Bed & Breakfast only - great selection of food. Ate dinner in buffet which was good. I didnt really like the bar food we had on the 1st day. Chicken nuggets for child were overcooked & tbh the worst the child had whilst eating in salou. The pools are lovely but were v cold, mayb this was to do with time of year (temp averaged 25 degrees) Having even 1 of them warmed for small children would of been great. My biggest negative of the holiday was to do with other guests & not really the hotels fault. Altho mayb stricter rules enforced might help the issue So there are signs to be keep noise down & respect other guests between 11pm & 8am... which so many didnt stick to. We were often in bed by 11pm as we have a 3yr old & we were woken every night multiple times (& v early mornings) by kids running/shouting in hallways/doors slamming/ and overall noisiness from people not giving a sh!t about other guests. We were on floor 6 to the right when getting out of the lifts. My advise is to try book a room that is at the end of the corridors to minimise the amount of people walking by your room. Overall it was a really great holiday & we enjoyed our stay

Amazing family friendly hotel. Spacious rooms with double bed and living area and a separate bedroom with two single beds. Spacious balcony with area to dry clothes. Bathroom has bath with shower head, toilet etc. kitchenette area with small fridge, microwave, kettle and some mugs and shelving. Lots of storage area for clothing and cases. Safe provided also. Plenty of sockets in our room and tv in both living area and bedroom. Staff are very friendly especially towards kids. My youngest enjoys speaking a little Spanish and they interacted with her brilliantly. Pool is cold but it’s just an adjustment we went to it daily and kids didn’t complain. Small pool with slides and jets turned on on alternate days. Larger pool with sloping ramp and not overly deep (I’m 5’5 and could walk in it no bother)… there is an “water bubble” for older kids to bounce on. Life guard always watching this area. Plenty of sun loungers. We never saved any but always got one or two together. Would say there are lots “reserved” and we’re not used for hours on end which is just same everywhere unfortunately. Large play park and football area outside. Inside has an arcade with a few games, soft play, kids club. The restaurant has plenty of choice. We were half board and ate out on alternative nights for variation. Breakfast lovely and calm from 8-9 then a bit crazy until service finishes. Luckily we have early risers. Complaint would be very slow toasters, always a que. The bar can be expensive for cocktails but local beer cheap enough, staff again very friendly. Entertainment every evening, quite late for little ones but usually face painting or balloon modeling followed by a mini disco. Will definitely go back and for a first time family holiday with young kids I have no real complaints.

Overall amazing holiday. Lovely hotel. Friendly staff. Clean modern rooms. Lovely room. Always seemed to have enough sun loungers. People did reserve them. Gorgeous food. Always different choices. Good variety of breakfast. Hotel entertainment was ok. Great location. 10 minute walk from a lovely sandy beach. Lovely fountain light show Friday and sat evenings 10pm near beach behind house of illusion. Close to shops restaurants and bars. Close to Rey’s airport. Just a lovely break.

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at this hotel. It was great for families, with a lovely pool, lots of activities, a great apartment/bedroom and great food. My only two observations were that the outdoor pools were too cold and the entertainment in the bar started a bit too late in the evenings.
