Hotel Duomo

Hotel Duomo came as a part of our Hay's Travel/Inghams Walking Tour package from Bristol Airport but we had the advantage of a personal recommendation from close friends for Hotel Duomo. It's a small hotel, lakeside, with all rooms having a balcony looking towards Lake Garda. We arrived earlier than check-in but, happily for us after a very early flight, our room was available. Our room was comfortable, clean and in excellent condition. Throughout our stay, we received excellent support and stacks of valuable local information from Sarah and Lucca in Reception. Self-service breakfast buffet has a selection of cold meats, cheeses,pastries, fruit, boiled eggs, fresh orange juice and lovely coffee. We took ours on the verandah. service from Julia and her colleagues was all that onyone could ask. The hotel is quiet, comfortable, well located, (particularly for the ferries), and we couldn't have wished for anywhere better.

Recently stayed here for a week. This is a lovely small hotel overlooking Lake Garda. The staff were all lovely and very professional- nothing is too much for them. They are very attentive,especially at breakfast time. Breakfast was very nice, continental style, but we were always offered cooked eggs if we wanted. There was a good selection of cheeses and meats along with fruit, cereals and delicious pastries. Our room was large and very comfortable- it was at the back of the hotel so no lake view but there is a terrace at the front where you can sit and see the lake (weather permitting). The hotel was not busy when we were there but this was really at the start of the season. We ate in the restaurant in the evening twice during our stay and although limited the menu was varied enough and the food was wonderfully cooked. Overall we had a great stay with lovely staff

Hotel Duomo has an unrivalled position looking across the lake. It’s relatively small and has a lovely atmosphere, created by the wonderful staff. Breakfast on the terrace is a perfect start to the day, and is just as good a setting for dinner with the lights coming on around the lake. The food at Hotel Duomo is outstanding, with local produce at the forefront.

Hotel Duomo is without doubt the #1 hotel on Lake Garda in Salo. It is directly on the lake shore with beautiful vistas of the lake and Monte Baldo. The staff is professional, accommodating and knowledgeable of Salo and surrounding area. Signore Corrado and Signora Sara always present a welcoming smile and excellent service. Everything in the rooms is operational, room service is prompt, and the hotel is spotlessly clean. The breakfast is a full offering and most enjoyable with the lake view. Please be kind and courteous when you stay and enjoy the relaxing and wonderful ambiance created by the staff. JAV

I enjoyed my stay a lot. The location is perfect and the view of the lake from the room is so beautiful. All the staff were very firendly and helpful. Breakfast is good. The lobby/lounge needs refurbishing and a fireplace would be great.

Both my wife and I greatly enjoyed our time with you. The town of Salo is wonderful place and found all of Lake Garda so beautiful. I look forward to returning some time in the future, and I will defiantly recommend your hotel to anyone who’s considering a trip to the lake. Please thank all the staff.
