Dream Apartments Adelphi Wharf

We had a booking for today, but the person who booked it cancelled even though they didn’t actually pay for the stay themselves . Whilst I know that’s not the hotels fault I’ve rang up lots over the past few days - I got through to someone once on Friday, explained the situation and asked if there was anything that could be done to help - seeing as it was none refundable and those who paid didn’t actually want it cancelled in the first place. A lady said she needed to check with her manager and get back to me - which I was happy with. Plenty more calls and a voicemail or two and still no answer/response the day we were due to check into 2 rooms. Considering the circumstances I’d have understood if nothing could be done and would have tried to arrange something else but the lack of reply has left us out of pocket and in limbo. ☹️

At 1st glance this was the perfect place to say for the Manchester Marathon weekend Apartment 4.11 (but on the 6th Floor) Spacious and a great view. Great fitted kitchen. The toiletries were very nice. Well stocked little shop close by, which even had this amazing ice-cream machine I would not recommend staying here if you are looking for a quite night in. Parties along the corridor until stupid o clock in the morning and then someone very loud radio at 6 in the morning. There were quite a few things that would of made it so much better: General cleaning of the communal areas, by the lifts etc. Cigarette butts and chewing gum on the floor of the outside baloney (yuck yuck) Dirty marks on the wall in the bathroom No mirror by the plugs in bedroom, very odd, as there was a long mirror in the hall – so I had to dry my hair and do my make up in the hall The bed springs were coming through the mattress (which was reported on leaving). Only one cup/mug in the kitchen. Things that would have been nice USB plug sockets A better TV. Stronger hangers to hang big coats on. A few artificial plants around the place, reception is very cold and inviting (nice staff mind you) Better signage to help find reception

What appalling service myself, my partner and our friends received on 5th/6th November 2022 after having the misfortune of staying at Dream Apartments Manchester. During our stay we encountered a number of unsatisfactory service levels that need to be highlighted and actioned upon and I demand a response to this complaint after what can only be described as a horrendous experience. On Saturday 5th November, myself, my partner and his friends who had travelled over 300 miles to stay with us for the night after we had promised them a night to remember and booked what we believed to be a high standard of accommodation, soon to be proven wrong. We arrived at the hotel at roughly 12.45pm and we're aware that check in wasn't till 4pm however we had an event booked in Manchester at 1.30pm and were all aware that we couldn't check in till after this event. After struggling to find parking around the area, staff at Dream Apartments allowed us to park on the accommodation car park underground for an additional cost of £40 however documented on their welcome leaflet it states additional cost of £15 per day. This should have incurred us an additional £30 as there were 2 cars not £40 so we felt like we were being robbed to start with. Later that evening at roughly 6.30pm we checked into the accommodation, one set of keys was provided to us for a group of 5 people. We arrived in the apartment, quickly freshened up and left the apartment at roughly 19.15pm for a night out round Manchester, who knew at that point that the night ahead would involve sleeping on the back seat of a car or on the hard cold floors of the apartment corridors. After an amazing night out myself and my partner decided at 3am to call it a night and to return to the Apartment, we were both tired, cold and in need of some well-deserved rest, shortly realising that we unfortunately had lost the key to the room, unfortunate I know but mistakes happen we are only human at the end of the day. Upon arrival to the Apartments the reception area was closed however 2 male security guards were sat behind the desk. We apologised for the mishap and explained we had lost the keys, shortly to be informed that there was nothing that could be done and we had 2 options, stay in the apartment reception area sat on 2 grey plastic chairs or sleep in the car underground until 7am when Reception staff started there shift as there was no spare key as the master key didn't fit every room. Shocking to think that such poor service could be provided and when I am sure these unfortunate incidents happen regularly there was nothing that could be done. Needless to say myself and my partner decided to try and sleep in the car at least we would have the heater and could try and find some warm clothing jumpers coats etc that happened to be in the back of the car. We didn’t get the Large apartment we booked. Had to accept the 2 singles they offered our group of 4. Staff rude, beds broken and they had run out of towels. Terrible place.best avoided. Lift not working.

There was nowhere clearly stated about needing to pay a £200 security deposit when booking online but was told on arrival by a very rude member of staff, the same day as check in that this would be the case. Absoloute disgrace! £200 deposit for what??? No remote for the TV? Burn holes in the carpet? No heating in the bedroom? Rude security and reception? Lift broken? Absoloute joke of a place!!!! £200 deposit to be threatened that we would not get this back if the place was not how it was left when it was given in such a state! Rob you blind!!! Do not use this company
