No es como las fotos publicitadas, no hay personal que trabaje después de las 9:00, sólo un guardia de seguridad que tiene más responsabilidad que tiempo para asistir a las preguntas. Nos habíamos ido con amigos que se quedaron en un hotel cercano que por menos dinero recibió mucho más.

We have started to stay at the Yellow Bird in the last 3 years. Its a great hotel that offers everything you need. The room has cooking facilities, cooker, microwave, kettle and full size fridge, and coffee maker. The bedroom is tastefully decorated and suited to the beautiful Caribbean ocean front view outside your patio. We have stayed on the upper floor, and this time on the lower floor. My husband prefers the upper floor as he can have a nosey outside. The onsite restaurant is very good, we enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinners there. The staff are welcoming, and kind and we see the same staff on our return visits and have made friends. We always receive a warm welcome, and know must of the staff by first name. we would like to thank Sonia for keeping our room so clean and Laurel. Reception staff Dashawn, Monique, Michelle for welcoming us with a beautiful smile. Jamal & Kofi for helping us with our luggage and maintenance in our room. We can't forget Sherelleanne, Lisa, Carolanne, Justin, Sydney, Audley, Peddrina & Tia. The staff make the stay more enjoyable, they are full of advice and recommendations. The hotel is located close to restaurants, bars and beaches. You can walk to must restaurants, bars and beaches. We felt very safe walking to and from bars late at night. We look forward to our return visit soon.

El hotel está situado en el desfase de St Lawrence, que tiene unos pocos clubes y restaurantes. Puede llegar a muy ruido por la noche. Si opta por el apartamento de vista al mar, es menos probable que oiga el club en el otro lado de la carretera. La habitación es muy grande, hay una cocina donde puede cocinar su desayuno y hacer té, un tapón de trabajo, nevera, congelador, caldera, microondas. El balcón y la vista son hermosas. Despierta cada mañana mirando hacia el agua azul y los cielos azuls! La dormilla es un poco lenta con agua, pero si la manejas por 3-4 minutos el agua se calienta. No hemos optado por el desayuno, por lo que no podemos comentar lo que es la comida. En general, positiva, mi única queja es cautelosa cuando ordenan un taxi que citan en dólares estadounidenses y no en dólares barbadianos. A la hora de terminar el taxi, se nos dijo que era en dólares estadounidenses y no en dólares barbadíes. Creo que es un error fundamental del receptor y me costó innecesariamente. Porque el hotel no merecía una estrella de 5 estrellas. En términos de ubicación es bueno, pero esperar ruido como usted está directamente en contra de un club nocturno llamado halo que es muy ruido en los fines de semana, especialmente el dj y su microfono gritando en él. La isla es muy pequeña, así que todo no está lejos. Vale la pena contratar un coche para llegar a la isla de lo contrario el taxi será caro. Un taxi desde el lapso de Lawrence hasta el norte de la isla le costaría 120 dólares barbadianos por un solo camino. El hotel dispone de una bonita piscina al aire libre y zona de refrigeración privada y un restaurante para ordenar bebidas. ¿Quieres que me quede otra vez? Sí, creo que me quedaría otra vez.

En mayo, en un viaje de negocios se quedó allí por dos noches ... muy bonita zona todo está cerca, zona tranquila nunca tuvo ninguna perturbación... El personal es amable... Me encantó todo Sobre Mi habitación era muy agradable... Me encantó El mini frigorífico que ayuda mucho 🫶🏾

Our favourite Caribbean island and we will be back. I think when we come next time we would definitely upgrade to a bigger apartment style room, as we looked into those and they were more spacious, bigger kitchen, living area etc. However the price we paid and the beautiful beach and sea view we had it was amazing. The bathrooms especially could do with a big refurb, re grout, remove the shower curtain and upgrade to a rainfall shower etc. If it were to be refurbished it would be 10/10 especially due to the south coast location. The hotel is on the dated side which we were fully aware of and alot of the hotels are dated when it comes to barbados, unless you are in more of a resort. The room was clean and cleaned daily which was the most important thing. As for the food and drink, we did not really eat in the hotel as we were always out exploring the beautiful island! My partner had the fish cutter from the hotel which he enjoyed! We had drinks and the rum punch which were great, we particularly recommend the smoothies. Although i didn't hear bad things about the food, we did also find it on the pricier side, considering everything is on your doorstep for cheaper. The hotel itself was very quiet but this was due to us being there off season and before the main crop over events, this made it even more peaceful for us. However im not sure how easy it would be to get a sun lounger by the pool or beach if it was full. The pool areas were lovely with sea views easily seen from both. There was no entertainment in the hotel for when we were there, but we were not expecting it as its not a resort. We wish they cleaned up some of the seaweed off the beach when we had a few days of increased seaweed. The staff are amazing at the hotel shout out to TISHA, CHANELLE, AMANDA,CHANTELLE, REGGIE ＜3. We will miss you all, thanks for providing information that we needed especially bus routes and restaurant advice! As for location this is PERFECT for the south coast, there is so much to do on the island and you do NOT need to be all inclusive in barbados. For the supermarkets there is a massey, petrol station 24hr shop, trident all within 5 minute walk away, to get food and drink for your rooms. You are 15 minute walk from the gap which obviously has all your restaurants, also 15 minute walk away from the boardwalk which has a few more restaurants. Also plenty of bus stops around for the reggae vans to go up to bridgetown or oistins for only 3.50bd. Taxis are pricier so for west coast ideally hire a car, on average was around 70bd for west coast. But hire a car to make it easier to explore the whole island if you can! Try worthing food court 5 minutes away from the hotel, amazing authentic street food! I have listed below some places to see and eat The hotel is in need of some refurbishment, the pillows we did find lumpy, the wifi was temperamental cutting in and out and the bathroom is particularly in need of updating. HOWEVER the beautiful white sand beach

Fabulous hotel right on a beautiful beach. Relaxed style of hotel which is just what we wanted. I e mailed ahead to ask for a low floor room near to everything due to my husband’s mobility problems. We were given room 102 which was perfect for us. Close to small pool, beach, bar and restaurant. Leaving through the car park took us directly to a few bars behind hotel. When we checked in I paid for a meal plan with 7 breakfasts and 3 dinners at the hotel. Food was very good although service was very slow. If we came again I probably wouldn’t bother with the meal plan as more cost effective to just pay for meals as and when we wanted them. Drinks were very good, nice cocktails. 3 cold beers in ice bucket for $15 Barbados dollars. Drinks service is extremely slow at times, and if you go to bar yourself you are usually ignored. If they could improve the drinks service that would be a big plus. The rooms are very spacious, 2 double beds and lots of storage. Rooms are kept spotless clean although they are a bit dated but wouldn’t put me off coming again. Entertainment on a few nights and was good especially the steel band on Sunday afternoon who were brilliant. All in all a fabulous stay and can’t wait to come again. The room

We had booked a room for a week at sister property Coral Mist a year before, but upon arrival were told we were staying at Blue Orchids next door. Not happy. The room given had an obstructed view of the grounds and ocean to the right, so after checking again, were offered a room closer to the water with a better view. Had a lovely room with a nice kitchen and everything we would need for a nice week. Had brought some food staples with us (coffee, crackers, etc.) but walked to Massey supermarket (about 1 mile away) for beer, wine, food. The selection was extermely limited so we didn't buy much food. Not at all what I expected for a big grocery store, but what we bought provided breakfast and lunch all week. We ate out for dinners. Always got a lounger on the beach though we did secure them around 7 am. You may not get one after 11 am or so, since they are all taken by that point we found. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating, especially the property manager who was great. We would definitely return to this hotel and request the same room, building. It was wonderful.

A clean and basic hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. I would stay here again if it was at a much cheaper rate as the price we paid was far too high for the quality of hotel that this is. The rooms are very dated and the pictures don't reflect what they look like currently. The shower was always cold for about 5 minutes before entering and so we would have to run this before we used it. The AC was great and did break during our stay but was promptly fixed by staff. The ”continental breakfast” is very poor. It is not a full continental breakfast and for the most part of our stay even basics like jam were not available to us. The breakfast only consisted of corn flakes, toast, some dry cakes (that were the same all week and so not fresh), one type of melon, bananas, and apples. This was the same every day and it was very disappointing as the way this was advertised you would imagine much more choice and for the food to be fresh. Most of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. it is in a good location close to the beach and it is easy to get around from the hotel with a bus stop outside and taxi rank not far up the road. There are also restaurants close by within walking distance too. It wouldnt be my first choice hotel and I would only stay again if the rate was incredibly cheap.
