The Monterey Hotel, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western

Absolutely loved my stay here, hotel staff are lovely and nothing is to much trouble they bend over backwards to make sure you are happy and comfortable. Excelent food both breakfast and evening meals which are 3 courses and menu different each night. Lovely indoor and out door pools. Definitely recommend staying here.

Excellent hotel in St. Helier! Highly recommend! We stayed 4 nights HB. Professional, friendly and helpful staff, that could not do enough for you, to make sure you had the best experience ever. Great room, comfy beds and a fan, if you needed one. The food was amazing. Great choice of continential and Full English style breakfast, along with fresh fruit and pastries. The 3-course dinner each evening was so tasty. Great variety of food and the service from waiting staff was second to none; staff are a great asset to Best Western (Thanks to them all). There is a Bus stop right outside the hotel, only 2 stops to town centre and 3 stops to the bus station (£2.35 on the bus, no matter how many stops you make. Rooms spotless and serviced daily. Faith on the Reception was so helpful assisting us with bus timetables and phoning taxi to the airport etc. Finally, it was my birthday and management/staff left a bottle of bubbly on ice in my room, with a note, wishing me a happy birthday... lovely touch. Will definitey be back! Tip= you can get a 3-day bus ticket or a one-day ticket for £9 that takes you all over the isle of Jersey, get off/on as many stops as you want; great value! We spent a few hours in St Aubins and had lunch in St Brelades on the same day, before heading back to St Helier for dinner).

Staff all friendly & helpfull. Food choice and presentation v. good. V comfortable bed and soft pillows. A warm hotel and no problems. We enjoyed it in May and no hesitation in returning this October. Would have given 5 stars but Sunday evening roast was overcooked.

The staff were very friendly, the food was lovely (even if they didn't have any poached eggs one morning but the lady next to me was able to order a fried egg!), the rooms are clean and the beds very comfortable. The hotel is a good 20 minute walk from the harbour but there are buses and if you are hiring a car there is a good sized car park.

Booked a superior room, but immediately disappointed by the small bathroom with a non shutting door ! Complained and to be fair was moved straight away, but consider room was not superior. Brekfast was mediocre at best and staff were very cold. Staff in reception however were very friendly and helpful. Would not to choose a Best Western hotel again

Just stayed at Monterey Hotel. Very clean rooms and pool area. Breakfast plentiful with lots of choice. Evening meal was excellent (restaurant quality and value for money) both at this hotel and their sister hotel which was a short walk away. The outstanding part was the service by the staff, in particular Victor in the bar area, who was really helpful and made us feel valued by remembering us and recommending different gins - he is a real asset to the hotel
