Camping le Chatelet

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this fantastic campsite! Great location, fun accomodation, beaitiful view, gorgeoius beaches nearby .We would love to return!

The campsite is in a beautiful location, with well maintained pitches overlooking the sea and a short walk to a beautiful beach. The facilities are not so good. The  main toilet block is very dated, showers look like they are from the 70's and while the toilets are clean with toilet roll and seat, there was NO SOAP! All the dispenses remained empty even after notifying reception x2. In my opinion not very hygienic as  located next  to the bar & snack bar. The excuse, they forgot and it would be resolved in a few days! Other smaller blocks did have soap, some a little more modern but still not what I would expect for a campsite that claims to be 5 star. The bar area is nice, stunning views, but the lack of a restaurant serving decent food is disappointing. The snack bar serves ready-made pizzas and burgers again not 5 star standards. There is a small shop for basic provisions. We would recommend the site for the location and views, but don't expect 5 star facilities. Make sure you bring your own food or walk into town, which is roughly a 30 min walk, for more choice. We have stayed at the Romanee site in Ars-en-Re which has much better facilities and soap!

Very comfortable mobile. Still surprised at having a choice of coffee maker (a pod one and also a filter one) when at home we just use a kettle and a cafetiere! But everything so stylish and bright..

Great location, close to beaches and coastal walks and convenient access to St Malo. Site is very efficiently run and staff are welcoming and friendly.

Lovely campsite, great views spotlessly clean. Staff were lovely. Very hilly location so you will get your steps in. Pool - they say it heated 27 degrees in fact I can assure you it was not 27! It's in a covered room and that was nice and warm but the pool was refreshing!! Laundry area is small and tumble dryer was so noisy you could hear it as you walked up the hill! Nice relaxing stay with lovely views. Would stay again.

We had a lovely time on Le Chatelet with our two dogs. Emplacements are spacious and sanitary buildings are very clean. The staff is superfriendly. The campground lies directly above the Atlantic en the GR passes it directly. Beautiful surrounidngs. We suspect that the camping may get a bit noisy in the summer.
