Residence Inn Sacramento Cal Expo

Big room. Has full kitchen amenities and dining ware on hand. In need of sprucing up and update, hopefully soon. Have to request for extra toilettries as only one set was provided for multi-guests stay. Bedsheet slightly old and torn. Has coin-operated laundry facility on-site. Parking is free and breakfast is provided. Just stayed for 2 nights and room did not housekeeping so not sure if service is provided on daily basis. Location has a lot of shopping options nearby.

I book our hotel at trip.com and the rate is very competitive. Also customer service at the Residence Inn at Sacramento is superb! They gave us an excellent customer service. Thanks a lot

Run down, dingy property that does not in anyway meet the Marriott brand standards. On the morning of my checkout, I found cockroaches in my room. I have stayed in Marriott properties about 65 nights this year, and have never experienced anything like this place. Total dump. I have filed complaints with Marriott and with both Sacramento County Health and the City of Sacramento. Avoid at all costs.

The one bright light in this place is Vi, the lady who greets you at breakfast, clears your plates, and puts out the food. Total sweetheart, very cheerful and helpful. She even made me plain eggs because I was allergic to stuff in the fritata. Other than that: the heat didn't work in the room. We called maintenance and they couldn't get it to work either. I ended up leaving the oven on all night for heat. Someone either broke or stole the coffee carafe needed to make coffee. It was not replaced. I called the front desk and they didn't have any. The sign in the bathroom says if you want your towels replaced throw them on the floor. We did. We left our room at 10am and returned at 11pm and the room had never been cleaned -- dirty towels on the floor and no clean ones, garbage not emptied, bed not made. We had to go to the front desk for towels and they told us they don't clean the rooms anymore unless we request it. How would we know this? The only sign in the room says to throw your towels on the floor. The couch was up against the same wall where the tv was. The couch is too heavy to move and the tv doesn't swivel enough to watch it. There was one chair in the room which meant hubby and I had to take turns sitting, so we skipped watching any programs. The carpet was sticky like they used too much soap to wash it and didn't rinse it. The hotel hasn't been updated since the 1970s. The bathroom sink is actually in the bedroom so if you want to get up early and get ready then hubby gets woken up by the light shining in his face. The weatherstripping left a large gap under the door so light and breezes come into the room. The pool is out of service. There is no elevator on the property to access the second floor units. There are no luggage carts on the property. There's a homeless camp less than 1,000 feet from the property. I had previously stayed at a Residence Inn years ago in North Carolina, so that's why I booked this place. Residence Inn has done the deep dive into property neglect. I will never stay at another Residence Inn again.

This hotel is not worthy of the Marriott name. Our room was old and dirty. There were stains on the couch and pillows, a gross crusty stain on a bed pillowcase, remnants of spills on the furniture, blood on the box spring, dry rot around the doors, spongy-feeling floors(second floor), and the list continues. It needs to be completely remodeled. I wouldn't recommend staying here, ever.

Stayed here one night with my wife. They charged my card for two nights. Contacted the manager several times. Here we are one month later and they still haven't refunded my money. Would not advise anyone to stay here unless you like getting screwed.

This is a filthy filthy filthy run down Residence Inn. I stayed in Room 713 and the carpets and furniture are disgusting. The dust mites have taken over and some of the lights didn't work. The front door lock did not work and the maintenance people had to replace the entire lock. The TV mysteriously turned on and off. Rotten wood on the decks, filthy stair banisters (I ruined a shirt) The desk and floor were sticky. Only one bath towel. What could I leave out???? Oh yeah, The late afternoon front desk clerk is very rude and sarcastic. Run away... Do not stay at this Residence Inn. Shame on you Marriott

I travel weekly for work and the level of customer service I received from Kathryn was so amazing. She went above and beyond for me during my trip and I had to leave a review to express my gratitude. She deserves a raise or a promotion. I will defiantly be back and I hope there are more people like her working in the Marriot chains. Thanks Kathryn. Your awesome!!!

Love the grounds, breakfast was great, staff were great. Really let down by the condition of the room. The refrigerator was not working, so they had to haul a new refrigerator to our room, which we really appreciated. Came back to the air conditioner not working on day 2, which was also corrected. Upon arrival though, I had to thoroughly clean the room before I would let my kids touch anything. There were handprints on the walls, food squirted on the walls in the kitchen and near the beds (I hope it was food), the sheets and blankets had holes in them, furniture very dated and worn, and not even a bed skirt on the second bed. Tried to use the oven and it smelled horrible in the room. First refrigerator wasn't cleaned and even had hair in the freezer. This property has so much potential if they could just take some pride in the rooms with cleaning and maybe a few updates. There was pretty extensive water damage to the wall behind the toilet that looked horrid and moldy as well.
