Bellrock Lodge

This is an excellent place to stay in Russell with every facility you need. Rooms are studios with cooking facilities and are really spacious with fabulous decks with views over the harbour, a real asset for viewing the beautiful sunsets. The accommodation is immaculately clean, the beds super comfortable and the showers excellent. Catherine is a great host, there if you need her but not intrusive. It’s an easy downhill 5 minute walk into town, not so easy on the way home as it’s uphill and quite steep! However the upside of the steep hill is the amazing views.

Fabulous accommodation, great location and views with everything you need and more. Catherine, the host was incredibly friendly and helpful and there is so much to do in this delightful, romantic holiday destination. Bellrock lodge was the ideal location to base ourselves.

The property overlooks the little village and our room had water views as well. It is secluded and quiet and an easy stroll into the village- be prepared to walk off your dinner on return as it is uphill! The owners were welcoming and friendly offering recommendations as requested and local knowledge. The room was spacious and decorated and fitted to a very high standard The shower pressure was amazing and plenty of hot water. The bathroom had double basins and a bidet along with heated towel racks. There was a kitchenette that provided ample options for staying in and cooking along with a draw dishwasher. The Nespresso machine was appreciated. We loved the fact that there were comfortable lounge chairs as well as a veranda with table and chairs. The king size bed was extremely comfortable as were the pillows. A nice touch were the robes. There is a guest laundry available which we used and it was clean and everything provided for a nominal cost. DVDs were available there as were books for guests . We would love to stay longer next time as 2 nights was not enough. These are passionate hosts who know how to run an establishment. From our many trips to both Islands from across the ditch this establishment is up there with the best.

Bellrock Lodge Rocks!! Bellrock Lodge is Great! Every detail is outstanding! The ocean views are absolutely beautiful. Everything is Clean and crisp. The bed and rooms are super clean and perfect. Robes and towels are all fresh, super clean & eco friendly. Catherine and Stewart are Superb hosts. They provide fantastic service to make everything perfect. They accommodated every need that you might have. From offering a delicious continental breakfast every morning and also an antipasto or cheese board with wine early evening. Watch your favorite movies. They have a great DVD library too! I highly recommend this stay as a must when you are in Russell. Love and Cheers to you at Bellrock Lodge! You do Rock!! Stayed here for a few days whilst visiting Russell. Room was well-equipped with a great view. Plenty of other facilities on offer such as a spa, laundary room, DVD / Book library and limited food / drink options (but there are plenty of places to eat and the kitchenette within the room is well-equipped). Hosts were most welcoming and gave good advice as to where to visit. Point to bear in mind - the Lodge is at the top of a short but very steep drive and may prove difficult for visitors with mobility issues. Highly recommended!

This hotel is great and the view from the balcony pretty cool. Rooms spacious with great amenities and I really liked the breakfast basket! Staff really helpful - they even helped me with an issue I had with my car rental. And Russell is a lovely town. Another cool detail: hotel staff contact you well in advance to give you some directions to Russell (follow them) and offer to book some local activities for you. Thank you very much.
