Elewana Loisaba Tented Camp

This lodge is the most wonderful place. From the moment we arrived we were looked after amazingly. Met on the air strip by our amazing guide Raffael, who took us to camp and gave us refreshments. Arrival at the lodge we were met by Luke the manager who gave us such an amazing welcome and introduced us to Judy who took care of us in camp. We had a lunch table overlooking the conservancy with elephants immediately visible! The rooms are a super high standard. Water bottles provided. Hot water bottles placed into your bed every night! The guided drives were amazing we saw the big 5 and more. Raffael knows that park like the back of his hand. He’s full on knowledge and honestly one of the nicest people I have ever met !! What I loved is the joy he has himself for every sighting. He was as much in awe of the leopard and cub as we were. He can really drive and has amazing knack with the binoculars and your iPhone!! The food ! Oh my days all of it wonderful. Waited on hand and foot as well. I didn’t want to leave felt choked up saying goodbye to them all. My daughter already wants to come back ! She adored the dikdik!!

Words cannot describe the experience. The amazing staff at both Loisaba properties were unparalleled. Resin as a guide is incredible, if you have the pleasure of making a request I advise to ask for Resin. Luke as GM goes above and beyond to make sure your accomdations, dining, and overall experience is next level. Then you get to Safari, and it was life changing; the proximity of animals, seeing the big 5, and then the combination of the environment and topography make you realize that Loisaba is magical. If you want to do a little something extra that will rock your world throw in the Heli Tour!!

Everything the staff touched was done with such meticulous intention and care. It truly was a bespoke experience unlike any other.

This camp was amazing. The rooms were absolutely incredible with beautiful views. Of the 6 elewana properties we stayed at on this trip the food here was one of the best (there were a couple contenders) The staff was absolutely wonderful. Ephansus ( not sure if I spelled that correctly) was our wait person. He was absolutely incredible. As my husband described him, he was so professional, polished, and attentive yet friendly he could work at any 5 star restaurant in the world no problem. One day I was having some health issues,( typical travelers stomach issues) and we had not yet come to lunch. The lunch time was going to be ending before long so he actually knocked on our tent door to inquire about us so that we wouldn’t accidentally miss lunch. I thought that was very thoughtful. Luke , the manager, was also wonderful. I feel like he never slept, as we could find him around the camp interacting with the guests at any time. Of all the properties this one was the highest tech , in that we registered online on our smart phones etc upon arrival. Our guide, Resin, was a great guide. Communicating with other guides he enabled us to get a great experience in seeing the animals.

Our first of two for night safaris and we fell in love with it. The “tents” were complete with everything one could need and really are a large and complete hotel room in a tent having two canvas sides with a full rear wall and a full screened front overlooking the valley below. Discovered the wonderfulness of having hot water bottles in bed. We had superior experiences thanks to Raphael as our guide and Beatrice as our server for wake up breakfast and meals. Little things were great like high level binoculars for all of us, warm towels on arrival from safaris, personal water bottles, safari beverages, close up encounters with all animals and great experiences with the rangers and their dogs. We saw the Big Five in our first 24 hours thanks to Raphael who was very attentive to what we hoped to see each safari and he taught us to take great pictures while teaching us a lot about the animals, the area, the people and the local song “Jambo”. Pool areas were great. Awesome views. Meals were flexible enough to allow us to get in naps and massages. Would definitely try the star beds next time. Felt safe in camp at all times. High level experience in all respects. Our daughter needed to see the medic for a fever and they were very quick to help and treated it seriously, following up many times to ensure her quick recovery.

Stayed first night at Star Beds, just unbelievable. Then moved to sister camp in the most luxurious tents. Food is so amazing, seriously. Staff are so nice and accommodating. Luke (manager) incredibly Great. Resin - our guide through entire 4 days was Unbelievable, saw so many animals - Black Rhino, lion group with 4 cubs, elephants, giraffes,zebras, Dik Dik, antelope, Hippos, Striped Hyena, Bat eared Foxes (both on night safari), Kudu right outside our tents. Just Magical. Took most amazing Heli ride - life changing experience with Josh of African Heli Adventures. Heli ride is a MUST. Josh incredible knowledgeable, the flight and stops with coffee and lunch - just a Life Changing experience. This place is a 10 plus, highly recommend .
