My wife and I have just got back from our honeymoon which began with a 4 night stay here and we are lost for words in trying to describe how incredible the experience was! From the moment we arrived we felt so welcome, our guide Francis picked us up at the airport and took us on our first afternoon drive where we had a fantastic lunch provided by the camp sat by the Rufiji river. The camp itself is everything you need and more, the wonderful hosts Jerry and Jamie welcomed us on arrival at the camp and were there for us throughout the stay for everything we needed. Our tent was extremely well looked after with everything that you could need considering where you are in the world! The pool was a great addition to have available after a long hot days safari, looking out over the river and surrounded by the friendly baboons! The food is a packed lunch provided by the camp each day, and a set menu at night and every meal was fantastic, with a large variety of different dishes each evening! Chande, our wonderful waiter, was on hand for everything and anything, always bringing us drinks when we needed them and always smiling! I really enjoyed learning Swahili from Chande with a few new words each day. On our final night Chande put on a special evening meal for us to celebrate our honeymoon by the bush fire which was absolutely incredible and a memory we'll never forget. The whole team sang Jambo Bwana and danced along, the experience made our stay so special! Finally to our guide Francis, thank you so much! Francis was a fountain of knowledge and a calming presence when we were charged by an elephant which was quite scary at first! Every single day Francis created more incredible memories by managing to find exactly what we wanted to see. The passion and drive he has for what he does was really inspiring. To all at Selous Kulinda Camp, 'asante sana' for making our honeymoon so unforgettable!
