Despite reading some negative reviews about the rooms themselves, we found our room to be clean, the beds comfortable, and we got a decent nights sleep. I loved the extra space in the 2-queen room that has the pull-out couch. We didn't actually use the pull-out, but having the little couch area was really nice. That said, when I'm traveling with my kiddo I'm always looking for a hotel with a pool, because she loves swimming, and an on-site restaurant just because it can be a real pain in the butt to try to leave the hotel with a 5-year old to get dinner. So those 2 amenities are what made us choose this hotel, and both were lacking. The pool is super small for a hotel. With about 10 guests in it, it felt incredibly crowded. Thankfully everyone cleared out around 7-ish so my kiddo still got some room/time to swim. I did really appreciate that that they said the pool is open until I think it was 10pm. The bistro was a bigger disappointment. From reading on their website I was expecting a restaurant, but the food they serve you feels like what you would find at a gas station. I got the buffalo chicken sandwich - the chicken patty is one of those flat circular frozen patties, and despite that the staff member making it asked me if I wanted both blue cheese and coleslaw on it, it only came with the cheese. I had to come back down to ask about the missing coleslaw, to then be told, oh actually they don't have any. When my daughter ordered a burger, we found out they don't keep pickles or onions on hand as burger toppings - they only have lettuce and tomato. And then I got a salad as the side with my sandwich and was told that despite that they have salads on the menu, they could only give me a salad of arugula as my side (no option for a lettuce salad....). We got back to our room with our food to discover we had no salad dressing as well. And for two clearly frozen sandwiches with a side salad and a cup of fruit we spent over $30. Just a huge disappointment for dinner. The breakfast (included with certain bookings) is a choice of one "hot" item - all options seemed like something that was pulled from a gas station freezer and microwaved - or two "cold" options. We went with the cold choices, and though it wasn't really worth paying extra for, the muffin and bagel were a fine breakfast. But for being such cheap options....I feel like the breakfast should ALWAYS be complimentary with your stay....
