Logis Hôtel Les Chardons Bleus RESTAURANT LE BISTROT DE LA MER

The rooms were poor and smelled of fish and stale smoke. They were all in need of a major refurbishment. Wallnpaper peeling off the walls. Breakfast expensive for what it was which was not great. Would have preferred to have gone to a local bakery than eat there. You entered the hotel via the restaurant or behind the back road into a storage room ( not good) would not recommend anyone going there at all.

The hotel was full both nights we stayed there, which tells you that lots of people think it's good value, as do we. Well situated next to the church. No parking, but the communal car park is only about 200 yards away (free after 1 Oct) the breakfast was superb - a great variety of home made preserves. Sadly, we couldn't get in for dinner. it was full. Next time we're in Roscoff, we'll stay there again & book dinner in advance.

Terrible experience from every perspective. Subpar food that shows no signs of freshness. Dry mussels, dishes covered in sauces to mask the quality, and dirty tablecloths. The host is arrogant. Extremely high prices for the quality of food. Dirty and poorly maintained environment. Absolutely not recommended.

Any non-French tourist is firmly advised to avoid this establishment, including a waiter who is the rudest person I have ever met in my life. He chose to mock us in front of his patrons (us) who were asking him about the soup- locals who laughed at his joke at our expense. I hear Roscoff has a problem. It is evident at this place. Very sad indeed. You have been warned.

We had a brief stay here and it was good value. The food was brilliant, especially the homemade bread and jams, they were delicious, especially the plum. The rooms were tidy and clean and had lots of space. The host was lovely and made us very welcome.

5 of us stayed here for a long weekend of cycling around Roscoff. I've seen some negative reviews on here, but honestly this place is great. So IMHO it's a 5* review from me because the accom was precisely what we signed up for, but the food was truly an unexpected bonus. In terms of accom - it does exactly what is says on the tin (i.e. 2*), so you cannot moan about that. However, in our opinions the dining experience was off the chart. As I (vaguely) recall saying to mnsr. Le Proprietaire at one point - "I f.love this place". Also of note was the fact that all cheffing duties were carried out by an 18 year old (no less). It was seriously so good we had to call him up from the kitchen for a round of applause.
