HORRIFYING EXPERIENCE at the Mongolfiera Hotel. I wanted to share our HORRIFYING experience at the mongolfiera Hotel in Rome. My family and I have traveled all over the world and have stayed and different kinds of hotels, but this experience was HORRIFYING, we want everyone to know the truth about this hotel. My family of 10 arrived on June 28th, 2024, around 3 pm. This was not a hotel it was an Airbnb! Not accessible to handicapped or older people, the elevator was a box only two people fit, and it was not working most of the time. The elevator is on the second floor so you will have to carry your luggage to the second floor. The place was super tiny, they have little entrances where it seems it's for a bu no one is ever there, we didn't even see cleaning personnel. We all got in super tired from carrying our luggage to the 4th floor and got into our rooms, each room had a Mini-split air-conditioning which was off we turned it on, and the rooms were not cooling, we gave the one that was cooling to our parents. We advised the owner, and she said they were working fine and would stop by to check them. We left them on, we had to get out because it was too hot. We came back exhausted from our traveling and sightseeing we wanted to get to our rooms shower and sleep comfortably and well for the next day. We were going to be in Rome for the next 3 days. I am diabetic and my parents are too, the refrigerators did not work we had to buy ice every single day so our insulins would not be affected and ruined. We had to take cold showers at night to be able to sleep a few hours every day. One of my sister’s rooms and my niece and nephew's room were just HORRIBLE, the room was extremely hot, and all 3 nights they might have gotten 2 hours of sleep, but it was because they were exhausted. We kept texting the owner and she kept lying to us that the issue would be fixed. Every day we left because we had already made plans to go to museums, and places we had tickets to. The owner never fixed anything; she lied a never fixed anything. She only moved one of my sisters to another room but there were 3 rooms including mine that she could have moved us. She had this one room next to my parent's room with 4 beds it would have been perfect for my sister, brother-in-law, niece, and nephew we tested her, and she refused to move them such horrible customer service. Another person staying there heard us going from room to room exhausted from our traveling and sightseeing we wanted to get to our rooms shower and sleep comfortably and well for the next day.
