We booked a Junior Suite which faced onto Largo di Torre Argentina, a large, excavated square located just a couple of blocks from the Pantheon. Our room was a good size and the bathroom very nice size as well. We could open our window for fresh air but our AC worked fine. This group of rooms is on the second floor of a residential building accessed by a small 2 person elevator. We rarely saw anyone at the small front desk - which was fine too. They stressed to always shut the door tightly to the main apartment building and the inn itself, but the door to the inn wouldn't always shut properly. When we checked in, we paid in advance. The reception told us about a great breakfast spot around the corner which we frequented and a pharmacy nearby for our Covid test to return home. The pizza shop next door was rated very high and was always busy. Several buses that went to Trastavere and the Vatican City were right in front of the hotel so that made transportation easy, otherwise we walked everywhere. I was worried that it would be noisy at night but it wasn't. The only issue that we felt like needed attention was the very slick shower floor which might have needed a good scrubbing as well. All in all, we were satisfied though there are loads of small hotels everywhere in this area of Rome.
