Just Chilling Suite

Bruno welcomed us and was attentive to all our needs. The suite was clean when we arrived and had all the extras re: toiletries, coffee machine. The property is ideally located so familiarise yourself with bus, train and tram routes. It's also safe. The pictures on the website don't do the suites justice - they are very kitchy and make for a good experience. Tip: Do not take a train during peak hour and if it is overfull don't catch it. You will be robbed. The pickpockets are out in force and work in teams shoving you onto the train and distracting you while they pickpocket you. The men distract, the girls steal.

Me, my husband and 9 year old son booked the family room at Just Chilling Suite as we wanted somewhere close to the Coliseum and that’s exactly what we got. It was a 5-10 minute walk away- absolutely ideal. The room itself was lovely and clean. Free WiFi and Netflix etc available too. But what really made our stay was the host Bruno. Communication throughout was fantastic. Airport transfers were done by him and when we arrived he even arranged for his friend and business partner Francesco to pick us up after the Roma football game we attended, while we were visiting, to ensure that we wouldn’t have any difficulties getting back after it had finished. This was massively appreciated. The Monti area where the suite is is a lovely area with nice cafe, restaurants and shops. We particularly loved Malino (which was recommended by Bruno) and Bar Pasticceria D’Amore. The Piazza di Santa Maria Maggiore is just around the corner. The suite is with walking distance to all the major sites, but without feeling too touristy as well. Overall would highly recommend this property.

Booked 3 nights to do a see all the sights trip for my boyfriends birthday in Rome. Let me tell you I have never had such great communication before arriving to a hotel/apartment. Bruno was so so helpful with suggestions and any questions I had. Helped put together surprise directions in the room for a very reasonable price. Getting to the apartment was extremely easy, 10 minutes or so from the Termini station. I’ve been to Rome a few times so easy for me to find and you can pick your bearings up quickly. From the apartment, everything is walkable. Colosseum and The Forum just down the road. Then onto Piazza Venezia. Trevi and Pantheon 20 mins in one direction, then from there you can go onto the Spanish Steps, Castle St’Angelo and before you know it you’re at The Vatican. The location is perfect. We walked everywhere even in the 33 degree heat! As you come out of the apartment if you head over north to the main road there’s some nice cafes and restaurants that aren’t as busy. Room was lovely, great shower and air con was a lifesaver in the heat. Fridge to keep plenty of water in. Bed was comfy and we had plenty of space to get ready. The only downside for me was we did have a late flight, so missed the 10pm check in. We had to check in and didn’t know about wifi even though there was a card outside the room we didn’t spot, and that there was a kitchen/reception area with a coffee machine. I was trying to figure out pods with the kettle when they were for the machine! It just would have been good to have someone check us in and run over all the little things as we were tired, but it can’t be helped. The fridge motor and air con were a little loud in the night but I’m a light sleeper, just could hear them a little through my earplugs still. Would suggest bringing some to be safe, but no more noise than normal in a city. Would recommend to anyone staying in Rome as it has everything and the location is the main selling point. For the price it was fantastic. Thank you again Bruno!

OK hotel. Close to everything, everything within walking distance. The room we stayed in smelt really bad especially when you walked in and when you put the bubbles on the bath. The bed wasn't very comfortable. Had very good WiFi just needed to sort the smell and better mattress.

Couldn’t recommend enough! Would definitely stay here again, staff were so lovely and helpful. Contacted me afew days before for transfer and recommended so many places. Such a lovely room. Francesco was so helpful and communicated with us very well. 10/10 amazing place, would not hesitate to go back here. Location is unbelievable 5 minute walk to Colosseum.

Great little hotel in Rome, walking distance to train station and sights. Friendly service, though no one onsite most of the day. Room has everything you need for a night. Would certainly come back here!
