"If it were possible to rate Horizon Hotel more than 5 stars, I would. I could wax poetic endlessly about how lovely our stay was from the heartwarming hospitality and quality service of the staff to the serene atmosphere and spotless rooms, every part of the experience felt thoughtfully curated. We had picturesque views from anywhere in the hotel. However, my favorite spot was the infinity poolside deck where we'd watch the sun set and the moon rise everyday while sharing meaningful conversations over good food, good whisky, and ever greater companions. Horizon Hotel offered more than just a view - it offered a moment. A moment where your breath stutters at the sight of a captivating sunset, where the azure sky melts into ocean blue, and where time seemed to stretch on endlessly, just like the horizon itself"

"Cometí el grave error de confiar en su sitio web oficial y descubrí (demasiado tarde) que: 1) la tarjeta de crédito no solo se solicitó como garantía, sino que se cargó inmediatamente el 100% del importe (el sitio web no indicaba que la tarifa de la habitación fuera de PREPAGO, sino que la reserva podía cancelarse sin penalización hasta algunos días antes de la fecha prevista de llegada). 2) Cuando cancelé la reserva (alrededor del 10 de mayo de 2024), tardé aproximadamente una semana en recibir el correo electrónico del hotel indicando que el reembolso se había procesado y ahora, casi un mes después de ese correo, aún no he visto ningún reembolso en mi tarjeta de crédito. Ya escribí al hotel varias veces para obtener el código ARN, que permitiría a mi banco investigar qué sucedió con el reembolso, tramitado oficialmente hace aproximadamente un mes, y el hotel no me lo ha proporcionado hasta el momento. El último correo electrónico ni siquiera recibió una respuesta (inútil). Como cliente potencial, simplemente me han ignorado por la cancelación. Es muy triste sufrir un trato tan injusto por parte de un resort de 4 estrellas. No volvería a cometer el error de confiar en su sitio web y escribo esta reseña solo para ayudar a otros a no cometer el mismo error, si TripAdvisor lo permite. Si TripAdvisor no lo permite, al menos intenté ayudar a los demás y no haré un nuevo intento inútil. Ahora ya saben cómo funciona. Les deseo lo mejor."

"What a great place!! Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 3 nights and could not have been happier with everything. 10/10 for the accommodation, restaurant, bar, beach and last but not least the staff! Owen and Angie were so nice and helpful with everything, the Air condition bungalow was perfect for us. Clean and spacious and great water power in the shower 😁 Food at the restaurant was so nice, the Chicken Adobo and Chicken Sisig were one of the best Philippine dishes we had during our one month stay in Philippines. Highly recommend for any traveller that wants to kick back, enjoy the beach relax and have the option to go explore beautiful Tablas island. Looking forward to coming back again to this great place and then for longer stay! Best, Eythor and Kolfinna"

"My husband and I were staying on Romblon, Romblon and decided to book scuba diving with Fun Divers on Alad Island as we had heard so much great stuff about their service and responsible tourism values (like not touching corals, packing out what you pack in…). My husband took his PADI Advanced Open Water and Enriched Air certificates and I took an Introductory class and went snorkeling. The training by Charro was absolutely OUTSTANDING. So clear, so encouraging, and so fun! We felt very lucky that all of the dives and snorkeling outings were personalized. We weren’t on a big boat full of multiple divers. The service was first class. I even had someone putting on my flippers for me! Fun Divers did pick us up on Romblon island which made things super easy for us. We were grateful that no one smoked on the boat while we were there, which is not always the case with some providers. I have allergies to the smoke so really appreciated the gesture. Hands down we would book with Romblon Fun Divers again."

"A wonderful bungalow for relaxation. The sisters were wonderful hosts. The relaxation veranda had a stunning view of the sea and sunset. Every morning and evening, we enjoyed delicious breakfasts and dinners prepared by the sisters. It was delightful. The sisters were welcoming and friendly, always helpful with our questions, and offered suggestions on where to relax and where to have lunch. There's a rocky beach down from the bungalow, but if you walk a little to the left, you'll find a sandy beach like a picture. Cynthia provided a snorkel mask, and there were beautiful reefs there. If you work from home, keep in mind that Wi-Fi is only available on the veranda in the main house. But for us, it was a plus; we wanted to get away from it all. We came for New Year's, and Cynthia made a wonderful New Year's Eve dinner—we'll remember it for a long time."

"Upon arrival, my Friends and I were informed that the twin bedrooms we had booked, which included breakfast and private bathrooms, were not available. Instead, we were offered significantly smaller rooms with an interior courtyard and a shared toilet facility for six rooms. When I explained to the receptionist that we had specifically booked twin bedrooms, we were eventually given rooms that more closely resembled the images on your website, but we were charged an additional 2600 pesos for this "upgrade." Furthermore, neither of the rooms had a functioning shower. We were provided with a bucket and a cup to use instead. The toilet, while present, required us to manually flush it using water from the bucket as the flushing mechanism was not operational. Despite having booked our stay with breakfast included, we were informed upon arrival that breakfast was not available on-site. The receptionist suggested we dine at a nearby restaurant, where we would be required to pay a minimum of 100 pesos per person per day for a single dish called "Tabsilo." We declined this offer. The overall condition of the rooms was unacceptable. I have attached photos as evidence, including the additional charge, the rooms themselves, and the makeshift bathroom facilities."

"Era nuestra primera vez en Romblon, ¡y hospedarnos en el Hotel Horizon Romblon hizo que nuestra experiencia fuera aún más memorable! El personal fue increíblemente amable y atento; se desvivieron por hacernos sentir como en casa. También nos dieron excelentes consejos sobre a dónde ir, qué transporte usar y a quién contactar para tours, lo cual fue de gran ayuda para quienes visitábamos la zona por primera vez. Me encantó lo fácil que fue contactar al personal incluso cuando estábamos explorando: siempre respondían rápidamente, ya fuera por correo electrónico o Viber, y fueron genuinamente serviciales en todo momento. El hotel en sí superó nuestras expectativas: la vista desde la propiedad era impresionante, todo estaba impecablemente limpio y la piscina siempre tenía la temperatura perfecta. También nos encantaron los postres que nos traían a la habitación cada noche: ¡un detalle tan considerado y conmovedor! Me gustó mucho la habitación que nos asignaron: muy espaciosa y cómoda. Aunque hubiera sido aún mejor si hubiera tenido una bonita vista al exterior (nuestra habitación no la tenía), todo lo demás lo compensó con creces. Nos enamoramos perdidamente de la naturaleza de Romblon, la sencillez del entorno, la comida y la calidez de su gente. Alojarnos en Horizon lo hizo aún mejor. ¡Valió la pena cada peso y definitivamente valió la pena el viaje! 💙"

"Todo es cuestión de expectativas. Creo que nos engañaron un poco porque las reseñas decían que el lugar era de 5 estrellas. Un miembro tuvo excelentes experiencias con las instalaciones del resort antes de la pandemia. Pero tres años después de la pandemia, el lugar parecía descuidado. No había otros huéspedes cuando nos registramos. Las opciones de comida eran mínimas. La piscina también estaba en reparación. Pero lo positivo del lugar... la vista al mar y la puesta de sol son memorables. La cama, las almohadas e incluso el grueso edredón, hicieron que el sueño fuera excelente y reparador. Supongo que si solo quisiera un lugar con muchas vistas a la naturaleza y que fuera generalmente tranquilo y pacífico, le daría al resort 5 estrellas. Pero nuestro grupo quería poder al menos nadar en la playa y en la piscina. Dicho esto, las tarifas eran bastante justas. Mi única queja fue el cristal que separaba el inodoro del dormitorio."

"We had the best time with Owen and Anjie. The Footprints resort setting was great. It felt like staying with a family (but a very nice and fun one!) We stayed in an air-conditioned bungalow facing the sea. The room was very clean and comfortable. The food (and cocktails!) were very good, the staff was super friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the weather was not always good (we went in January, probably the end of the rainy season) but Owen and Anjie were amazing hosts and helped us have a great time anyway. They embraced us as part of their family and even took us to tour part of the island."

"Si quieres relajarte, desconectar y vivir una aventura fuera de lo común, este es el lugar ideal. El viaje a Tablas ya es una aventura en sí misma, pero disfruta de la belleza del paisaje y de la naturaleza virgen de Tablas. Una vez en el resort, te espera la hospitalidad filipina y una cálida bienvenida. El personal es muy amable; bromeamos mucho con ellos. Los dueños son muy amables y acogedores, e incluso nos invitaron a su fiesta de cumpleaños. Fuimos a bucear, ya que el resort también cuenta con una tienda de buceo. Las inmersiones son fantásticas y los corales, preciosos. Sin duda, volveré para explorar más."

"Very quiet and peaceful location. Very clean and tidy. We loved the swimming pool and lounged there often. The food was good, but then we discovered the “hack” for enjoying great dinners at Sunset Cove! In the morning, Simply ask the kitchen what seafood is fresh. (In our case it was usually some combination of shrimp, calamari or crab). Then tell them which of the fresh offerings you would like for dinner. They will suggest a couple of preparations to choose from, such as Shrimp Sinigang, or Calamari Curry ( very tasty!) Charo runs the show at Sunset Cove, knows everything and everybody in the neighborhood. Lean on her for great advice. Shout out to Cris Joyce and Christopher who are generous, warm and great hosts in every way possible. They made our time at SC very special. Romblon Fun Divers were also great. We saw tons of stuff and always felt safe. Very quiet and peaceful location. Very clean and tidy. We loved the swimming pool and lounged there often. 5 stars!"
