First, upon arrival, the luggage cart had a bad wheel and. would not turn so I had to reload the cart with heavy luggage while the hubs was trying to find parking in the packed parking lot. Next, a totally underwhelming greeting while checking in, no Hilton Honor acknowledgment, no welcome bottle of water and bag of popcorn like at Tru. Next, only 2 small elevators and one was out of service, marked by painters tape in an "X" over the entire door, it didn't look good. The one working elevator is in poor cosmetic condition and very small, bad vibe. The 2nd floor hallway needed a good vacuuming. The room was large which was nice but very "tired" looking and needs an update; the grout is stained so dark, it looks dirty and I didn't want to walk barefoot on the old carpet, the mattress was saggy, old, the sheets were thin and worn. There was a bad outlet near the microwave and a gap in the wall between the outlet cover and wall. The AM coffee was so bitter, I took it back to the room and poured it down the drain. A first for me at a hotel but I decided not to shower there, I don't like the old "shower in a bathtub" vibe; the bathroom was dated with old venting. Although we are Hilton Honor members, we are going to check out the Marriott brand. Hilton, get it together for this property! $220/night??
