Great fish & chips at a reasonable cost. Wide food and drink menu, served with a smile and friendly chat. A variety of special meals, quiz night on Sundays, function rooms, TV in bar. Landlord and lady open to ideas from customers. Worth a visit.

Came up to the area to visit an elderly relative and were lucky enough to choose The Bull for an overnight stopover. Cannot recommend this pub highly enough to anyone looking for a reasonably priced, comfortable and friendly place to stay. We were also fortunate to partake of Sunday lunch which was beautifully presented and delicious. Our room was extremely pleasant with a comfortable bed and excellent bathroom with surprisingly powerful shower. Also enjoyed the Sunday quiz night and meeting some of the locals. If you visit, please do look inside the church opposite which is enormous for such a small village and of historic interest.

We booked The Bull Inn for 1 night for a friend’s wedding nearby and it was a pleasant surprise. We had a double room and a single occupancy room next door for a friend. The owner is very welcoming and explained that Taxis can be difficult in this area but arranged us a lift to and from the venue. One of us decided to be the designated driver but appreciated the offer of a lift. The room is comfortable and allows dogs! The area is beautiful and quiet, we slept very well. The full English was very good too and the check out time is generous. If we’re in the area again, I wouldn’t hesitate to book The Bull Inn again - wish we were staying for the pub quiz! Thank you!

Absolutely amazing gem of a find. Fabulous hosts whose background in the luxury hotel industry really shows. They cooked us plant based meals off menu that were so tasty that we didnt have to eat anywhere else. The pub is really friendly and if you go on a sunday there is a really friendly pub quiz. Shower was really powerful and room was very clean. Leo said that we would be treated like family whilst there and we really were. Thank you.

Under new management, and literally Leo and Dana were THE best hosts of anywhere we have ever stayed.Were their for our son's wedding, and needed a pet friendly hotel.One of our party stayed to dog sit, and Leo organised food and a room upgrade at last minute.Nothing was too much trouble .Room clean and comfy.Perfect, breakfast was beautiful- and my daughter said her pie and chips was second to none.Leo and Dana have set the bar high in this hidden gem..thank you .Will be our go to if ever back in the area.Love and thanks.

Yet another great night at the Bull. The usual high standard of food was delivered once again and we even had a taster of the chowder dish (which was excellent!). Add to that, the usual friendly and personal style of service and we now have a great place to go at any time, for any occasion.
