It’s a shame you can’t enter zero stars. I am going echo the many many comments from others about the attitude of the staff at this hotel. So after booking several days before staying I arrived in the early evening to the hotel. Looked good on the outside, but then appearances can be deceptive. I went to check in, waited a bit and then a woman sauntered in and stood there and said nothing. I said, hello I have a reservation. No response, no acknowledgement, no request for a name and not even a simple hello. After about a minute on the computer screen, loudly pressing keys she grunted and shouted no reservation. At that point I attempted to show my confirmation, which she did not even look at, she grunted again no reservation (I think in the whole experience the only words she stated were “no reservation” and “you speak to my husband”. Clearly the woman (not using the term lady here as it would not be appropriate) could speak very little English. She proceeded to hand me a phone and said, you speak to my husband. I picked up the phone to a very aggressive man (not again, not using the term gentleman here as not appropriate). I explained I had a booking, he was shouting no you don’t. At that point after getting nowhere the woman just walked off… so then I decided to take a seat and phone oyo customer service, to whoever that was I apologise that you have to deal with the franchise owners?. You explained that there was a reservation, but an error at your end had occurred which had removed it from the system. You were shouted at by the man, considering you both work for the same company? I found this highly unprofessional, this was to the point where I had to ask the husband (man) to leave the call several times. This allowed me to talk to the OYO rep who confirmed I would be refunded and apologised for the behaviour of the hotel owner. I appreciate OYO will reply to this with a generic reply and service email to contact. But instead i request you to review the OYO franchise of this business and in particular the lady who could not even greet your customers as they are a good representative of your brand. Indeed I would suggest and review if the individual even has the legal right to remain, let alone work in the US? I look forward to the copy/paste none personalised corporate response to this.
