Made our reservation online while traveling hwy 95. Checked in after 8 PM and was directed to a room, on the front of the building, which is across the access road from the highway. No cars parked on the front of the building, but a few on the back. Entered the room and put a suitcase on the bed and realized that the bed foundation or springs were damaged and putting the least amount of weight i.e. such a suitcase made loud cracking noises. Every time one of us rolled over in our sleep the metallic clanking woke the other person. Bedding was clean and pillows fine. Due to the proximity to the highway, Every truck and the animals they were carrying could be heard as they whizzed by throughout the night. Of note was the truck carrying foul that woke us up at four in the morning as they were calling loudly. Went down the next morning for Continental breakfast and found that the jug of milk For guests to use was spoiled and four days past its expiration date. Pointed it out to the young lady at the front desk who said it smelled fine to her but when pointed out that it was four days expired reluctantly agreed to throw it out. Found a jug of what Appeared to be orange juice only to find out it was gritty pop drink instead of OJ but apparently orange enough in color for these folks The eggs on the buffet were bone dry and brown and looked like they, as well as the crusty gravy container next to them, were leftovers from the last three or four days. The coffee seemed to be fresh and tasted good. When we asked the lady at the front desk as to why she put us on the front of the hotel due to the truck and highway noise, she explained that the computer did that. When asked if she had the ability to move us to the back knowing that the front is noisey, she said sure she could have . The apathy in the staff and lack of needed repairs made this experience two when it could’ve been so much better.
