Medieval Rose Guest House

Medieval Rose is extremely well located being just off the main shopping street in Rhodes Old Town. Despite its location, it’s still very quiet. The accommodation is quite basic being more akin to a budget hotel on one of the islands; it is not a boutique hotel but it offers tremendous value for money and is a great base for exploring the Old Town. The room itself was spacious with a comfortable bed and soft pillows. Storage space was limited but, as we only stayed for 2 nights, this was not a concern for us. There was a good shower in the en-suite bathroom. Toiletries and 2 large bottles of water were provided. There was also a fridge, kettle and hairdryer in the room. The host, Olga, was incredibly friendly and helpful, advising us on restaurants and other matters. She, her husband and young daughter slept in the room next to ours and there were often friends visiting. This gave the feeling that you were a guest in someone’s home rather than an anonymous visitor. Medieval Rose has a range of rooms including those with en-suites and others with shared bathrooms. It offers great value for accommodation in the heart of the Old Town so long as you don’t require luxury. And Olga is a great host, her personality provides another dimension to the accommodation.
