OK so I'll tackle the logistics first which is no fault of the hotel. Please read beyond this as you won't be disappointed. If travelling from Scotland you can't get decent flight times. They leave late afternoon and you get to hotel at 0200hrs next day so you lose a complete day. (Newcastle or further afield airport will cure this, but it is a shame none the less) The return is a late flight you leave the hotel 1900 ish and hotel check out is 1100 so you need to do some work with the hotel if you want to keep a room which will cost a little xtra. The hotel is pretty much in the middle of nowhere but they have a hire car facility on site with accommodating friendly staff and good rates. (not that you'll need to go anywhere unless you want to see the island) Transfer time from airport is 1 hr 20 min approx with private transfer. Shared coach will be a good bit longer. Tourist tax is 5 euro per person per day so a couple for 2 weeks another 140 euros. All that said the hotel and staff are excellent. We went as two couples last week Sept into first week Oct. weather was great, sunny 26 to 30 each day. We went all inclusive plus, Deluxe room sea view private pool, but we were up graded to Prestige family bungalow sea view private pool 4017 and 4018 which was excellent and the first of many big thanks to Katerina Mitsinioti, operations manager. Katerina made sure all our needs were catered for and nothing was too much trouble, any requests were dealt with professionally and at speed, she absolute asset to the hotel. Thank you once again. The hotel manager Enias Kiritsis is highly visable for the entire holiday, he takes a personal and professional interest in ensuring you have everything you need during your stay. Faultless in his manner and approach and he too will arrange anything for you within his remit. Can't thank him enough for his attention to detail and ensuring we had the best time. The food in all of the restaurants is excellent, from Christos serving up the omelettes to the buffet breakfast with tables served by Elena and many more, that look over the sea with the most spectacular views. Jani who serves in the Lachania, Prestigio and Grill corner (Greek, Italian and BBQ) restaurants is an absolute star, extremely attentive and good humour making lunch and or dinner so much more entertaining. It has to be said the two restaurants that stand out are the Asian and Thalassa, both are excellent but my favourite was Thalassa. The restaurant manager Konstantinos Floskakis was an absolute gent and a pleasure to chat with, again professional to the enth degree with an excellent knowledge of his wines and food, yet another valuable asset to the hotel. Went above and beyond to make sure we had a fantastic time and helped with suggestions for our road trip when we hired a car. Over and above the staff mentioned here, all staff were extremely professional and curtious, Maria at the pool bar along with the whole team and the guys at the main bar and
