Right where do I even start? We got to the hotel just before 3am. The guy that checked us in was actually very nice, the process was quite quick. Our room was outside the hotel which we have to walk up two hills to get to?? As we’ve got to the door there was an issue with the key card and door handle. The receptionist sent someone with a new key to gain access to the room but it was still a struggle to get in as the main issue was the door. Upon entering I realised the door doesn’t actually lock so it can easily be open with a master key from the outside ( I also work in a hotel ) but anyways it was 3am and we was tired so we thought we would raise the issue the next day. We put on the do not disturb light after being exhausted from our flight, at around 11am a house keeper entered our room whilst we was asleep so I got up because I initially got scared but she presented herself straight away and I said we was fine and she left (no apology in sight) . This wouldn’t have happened if the lock on the door was working. Our day had already been jam packed but we finally found time to speak to receptionist after dinner about the door as we struggled to come Into the room several times during the day and his response was “ you had an issue with the door yesterday but you are coming to me now? “ although I already made it clear we CAME IN JUST BEFORE 3 AM and even so I’m a paying customer if there’s a fault with the door that’s an issue on your part not mine. He cut us a new key and that was it ? That was the solution to THE DOOR HANDLE not functioning well. Food - you pay all inclusive to find out on arrival that you need to make reservations for all the Al Carte restaurants and if it’s fully booked you have to eat from the main buffet area. Why this wasn’t stated on there page I don’t know? The main buffet restaurant is absolute garbage. It doesn’t matter whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner just absolute trash. All the drinks are washed down Staff members were not friendly at all, you are asking them questions as that’s what they are there to do, to provide a good customer service and they are acting as if they being bothered. Some of them even looking at you funny. However, I can’t fault them all as there were a few nice people like Elsa the housekeeper absolutely amazing. The entertainment team were also lovely, always greeting you around the hotel. Overall it was a terrible experience, I wouldn’t come back or recommend this hotel definitely ruined my experience. I didn’t feel welcomed and most time I just felt very uncomfortable. I was ready to come home on the second day
