I wish I could comment on a great holiday at Costa Lindia Beach Resort, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. We booked through LoveHoliday and arrived on the 3rd of September, only to be told at midnight that the resort was fully booked. We were then informed that we had been "upgraded" to a more "suitable" hotel next door. Given the late hour and the fact that we'd been traveling since 9 am, we had little choice but to accept the change. This was particularly difficult as we were traveling with a 6-month-old baby and half a dozen bags. Despite this, no assistance was offered by the hotel. Upon arriving at 'upgraded hotel', the grand lobby and helpful staff initially gave a good impression. However, we were quickly made aware that there was no 24-hour room service, a service offered at Costa Lindia. Instead, the staff provided us with ham and cheese sandwiches—far from ideal for us as vegetarians. The room we were given was dated, and we had to sleep in separate beds, but we were too tired to complain. The following morning, we headed down for breakfast, only to find a chaotic scene with guests scrambling for seats and food. The food quality was poor and certainly not what one would expect from a 5-star hotel. A quick search revealed that 'upgraded hotel' is actually a 4-star hotel, meaning we were not upgraded but downgraded. The issues didn't stop there. The constant noise from the entertainment team, the limited dining options despite the "all-inclusive" package, and the lack of concern for non-smoking areas around children all added to our dissatisfaction. This review is to warn others: do not book Costa Lindia Beach Resort. The practice of overbooking and then shuffling guests to a lower-rated hotel is unacceptable, and from what I've read, this isn't an isolated incident. Save yourself the disappointment and choose a hotel that respects its guests and delivers on its promises.

Lovely hotel and staff were so kind and attentive. Nice little town outside the hotel as well. Tommy and his Entertainment staff were brilliant as was Maria and her catering staff. Special mention to Vassilis the Utopia bar manager who helped to make our holiday super special.

We booked 9 days in a swim up room in the Costa lindia beach resort. On arrival we were taken across the road to the Costa Lindia Blue Star. As soon as we put our luggage in the room were realised we were in the wrong room and in the wrong hotel. We went straight down to reception where we were told the hotel was overbooked and that we might be able to move into our original room in a few days time. Unhappy with this response we phoned our travel agent who then phoned the hotel. The hotel confirmed that we were in the wrong hotel and they would move us into the correct hotel within 48 hours. After being in limbo for 48 hours we were then told that we were not being moved as we had already received an upgrade by being in the wrong hotel. Its utter nonsense as we were put in a sub standard room and a sub standard hotel. The hotel are running a scam by advertising premium rooms on their website, taking your money and then when you arrive dumping you off wherever they feel like, hiding behind the line that they have upgraded you. We were made to feel like crazy people just by wanting the hotel and room we paid for. Do not give these people your money!!!

Poor experience manager is very cut throat and asked staff to make sure wristband was cut off as I was leaving, not sure if this was in fear I would sneak back in or what but just didn’t give you that 5 star feeling and felt as if we were being hunted from the hotel

When we arrived we were told the hotel had overbooked and subsequently had booked us into the hotel next door - the Lindos Princess. They hadn’t told us or the travel company we booked through prior to us leaving the UK, they just booked us into the 4* next door and didn’t refund us the difference. It was gone midnight when we arrived and they didn’t even have enough staff to help us move our luggage next door, we also had our 6 month old baby and all her equipment. No help. The receptionist told us it was an ‘upgrade’ of course it wasn’t as we had booked into a 5* and were moved involuntarily to a 4*. I think this is basically theft. I booked this in March, 6 months ago. We tried to speak to the reception manager the next day and she was very nice but told us this is happening all the time and they have no room for us, we were not the first family this had happened to that week… she wasn’t sure why it was happening and seemed very frustrated with it herself. They would also not issue anything in writing. We were told we could use the facilities but with no room on site, of course we have a baby so that wouldn’t work. do not think because you booked here you will stay here, you won’t know for sure until you actually arrive. They will not communicate with you. It is a term called ‘walking’ where the hotel will book you in somewhere else. They will probably keep the highest paid reservations only. If I could give you any advice it would be to avoid this hotel like the plague, especially if you have children, it was a nightmare and I’m having to seek legal help now I’m home.

We had an amazing vacation at Costa Lindia Beach Resort! The resort itself is beautiful with stunning rooms, and the overall experience was fantastic. A special shoutout to Jeno, the bartender at the Aqua Pool Bar, and Anjesa, the bartender at the Beach Bar. Both made our stay extra enjoyable, but Jeno in particular stood out with his professionalism and the delicious cocktails he crafted! The service at the resort was excellent. Whenever we had an issue, we reported it to the reception, and they immediately addressed it. However, there were a few downsides. Every morning around 7:30, the housekeepers would gather outside our room to eat, chat, and watch TikTok, which woke us up earlier than we would have liked. Also, our balcony was never cleaned, leading to an ant infestation, which was a bit of a nuisance. Lastly, the towel service was quite odd – we had to walk across the street to another hotel’s spa to get fresh towels, which was inconvenient. Overall, despite these small issues, we had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend the resort for its great service and lovely atmosphere.
