From the moment we walked into the door, we were greeted with warmth and kindness. Nikkos, Angela and Paris have created the highest level of boutique hotel with exceptional personalized experiences. We had a very short stay, so Nikkos made sure that we filled every moment with the tour highlights very efficiently. Returning after a busy day of touring, Paris was at the piano filling the lobby with his beautiful music, drinks and wine were available in the living room and conversation waiting in the atrium, if you wanted to share your excitement after the day. The included breakfast was a dining experience. The table was beautifully set and Julia provided excellent service with impeccable food. Our room was over the top. It was authentically and beautifully decorated with extra personal touches to make it feel more like a guest room than a hotel space. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Kókkini Porta Rossa. We will be returning to stay here again! Not only was the stay amazing, Nikkos took a personal interest in our visit. We were visiting Rhodes to see the land where my grandfather was born. After some conversation, Nikkos found family that I never knew that I had. Our trip turned into a family reunion of giant and emotional proportions for all. Thank you!!!!!!!

Beautiful boutique hotel in the old town, Amazing hospitality, Nikos and his wife are so friendly and welcoming. Nikos is Very helpful .breakfast is very special, all home made. The rooms are so clean and beautiful.. We loved it! One of the most special places we ever stayed !! Highly recommended.

A truly very special place. You feel home from the very first moment you step into this house. The warm welcome by the owners, the beautiful and authentic interior design, the cozy courtyard, the piano player in the evening, the most charming room and all those other small, but very important details make of Kokkini Porta Rossa a very unique place to stay where you enjoy every second of it. Hospitality at its finest! We enjoyed our stay very much and wished to be able to stay longer. You don’t want to leave this place! We will be back, for sure, and next time a bit longer. Thank you for all!

Just an amazing experience. Imagine waking up in a 14th century fortress with beautiful amenities, wonderful and extraordinarily prepared breakfasts by our host, and expert tips on travel. The rooms are beautifully appointed. Their hospitality like their custom blended wine is available at no charge to their guests. Anything that is requested to make your stay even more enjoyable such as restaurants, travel suggestions, car rentals etc are done removing the guess work. I can’t wait to return one day.

I have stayed in many beautiful hotels and lodges, but this was truly one of the most extraordinary. The attention to detail was remarkable. The ancient building is gorgeous and beautifully restored in a way that honors its ancient history. The hosts provide everything from a five star, gourmet breakfast, to complementary bar in each room, a selection of perfumes in each bathroom, and fantastic artwork throughout. Even more amazing, is a link that is curated specifically for you, available on your device or iPad provided by the Inn, with daily suggestions of activities, directions, and dining selections. Nico. helped us arrange the best guides and even a beautiful sailboat, which took us to Lindos for lunch. Amazing! No detail is too small. Angela and Nico take extraordinary pride in what they do. And everything they do, they do so well. I look forward to staying there again.

We stayed here for one week and took up two of their rooms. The rooms were spacious, well equipped and.stylish. the breakfast themselves was an experience with something.different each day. Nikos, Angie, Paris and the team made us feel very welcome and special. Recommendations were received for restaurants and sightseeing which were gratefully received. I could not.fault a thing. Excellent hosts, good location and simply fabulous. Highly recommend it

The hospitality, accommodations, and food were all perfect. Everything down to your daily itinerary on an app on your phone to your French press coffee coming with its own hourglass to measure how long your coffee has steeped are thought of. Nikkos and Angela have created a little piece of heaven on Rhodes and we are definitely coming back. Enjoy your time with them and their son Paris’ music!

We just returned home after a weeklong stay in Rhodes and the Kókkini Porta Rossa. Staying at the hotel was a wonderful experience. Angela and Nikos were great hosts. They sat with us each morning to go over planned activities and to provide tips and suggestions. The tablet they provided was very helpful, packed with itineraries, restaurant recommendations and much more. The included breakfasts was something I looked forward to each day. It was a four course affair and there wasn’t one thing I didn’t like. I use a walker, so accessibility is an important issue for me. We stayed in the only really accessible room, with just one step between rooms. I could negotiate that but they put in temporary ramps to make that one step easier to manage. The location of the hotel was excellent, inside the old city of Rhodes and on a quiet street.

Where do I begin? The welcome at Kokkini Porta Rossa is unlike any I’ve ever experienced at a hotel. Warm, inviting, gracious and delicious (the hibiscus tea in the garden). And that was just the start of a perfect stay at Kokkini Porta Rossa for our family of 4 (60’s couple with 2-20’s “kids”). Angela, Nikos and Paris have created an extension of their home in the walled city of Rhodes . Their kindness and hospitality will stay with our family for years to come. No surprise that this is a “best of the best” winner. The people, food, building, garden and surroundings are perfect. Coming “home” in the evenings to the beauty and comfort of Kokkini Porta Rossa was wonderful. Hungry? Enjoy a snack. Thirsty? Help yourself. Everything is thought of and acted upon. They haven’t missed anything. It’s like staying with your closest friends (who have the very best taste). The most thoughtful hotel experience, ever. Clearly, we loved our stay and hope to / look forward to return/ing. Thank you to you all for introducing us to Rhodes in such a special way.
