We have just returned from a fantastic family holiday at Atlantic Dreams. We travelled as a family of 3 (two adults and a 4 year old). We arrived at the hotel in the early hours of the morning and were quickly checked in and the buffet was left open for some food/drinks although we went straight to our room. Room: we had a standard double room (9102) which had the sofa made up as a bed for our son. The room was lovely and spacious, and smelt amazing. There was a lot of storage space for clothing and we had a large balcony which got the sun in the evening which was great for dying swimsuits. There were English TV channels available which was great for our son to watch some kids TV in the evening whilst we got ready. There were toiletries available for use which smelt really nice. Food: the food was a bit disappointing. Breakfast was fine with standard fry up options, pancakes, Greek yoghurt, cereal, omelette. However I found the options for lunch and tea were very limited as a pescatarian and I ended up eating the same thing every day. My husband eats meat and he also found the food quite bland and repetitive. We managed to book in to two a la cartes: Gaia and the Italian. Gaia was ok, the dessert was very nice there. We really liked the Italian. The only issues with the a la cartes is there were very limited drinks options- you were unable to order cocktails and my husband had to walk downstairs to get my son a hot chocolate from the piano bar downstairs as this wasn’t an option either. Kids club: the kids club was fantastic! The people working in there was so kind and friendly. We were worried about safety after seeing a kids club at a previous holiday in Turkey but we’re very reassured to see that the staff check in and out all children using a parents signature and you are unable to just walk in and out as you please. Face painting was available every day at 4.30 which our son loved as he got to be Marshall (paw patrol) every day. He also went to the kids club 3 afternoons of our holiday where he had a great time. Thank you to all the staff working there! Activities/entertainment: the activities provided by TUI are what made our holiday so amazing. We got to do so much both for adults and also kids: archery, shuffleboard, family yoga, adult mindfulness, adult painting, aqua aerobics, family dance, kids rave, stone painting, aqua boards and other activities we didn’t take part in. They also celebrated octoberfest whilst we were there where they had drinking games such as beer pong, pass the beer etc by the main pool which was great fun (no pressure to drink alcohol if you didn’t want to). There was a kids show every night called T-bots which our son enjoyed and we also took part in the evening quiz one night which was great fun. The fitness/entertainment staff were all so friendly and made everything so much fun. A massive thank you to Beth, Francesco and Marcel for making our son so happy and letting him ‘help’ with the activities.
