This may seem like a long review, there’s lots to get through – so stick with me on this! Check-in was quick, and we were told to wait outside for a porter to take us and our luggage to the room. We waited for at least 20 minutes before someone turned up – apparently reception staff hadn’t notified anyone that we were waiting. We booked a Premium double room for my wife and I and our son. The room was on the third floor. As we walked up the stairs, there was linen, and sheets just left scattered on the staircase and side which turned out to be a regular occurrence during the week – even after the cleaners had finished. We noticed one bundle was there for a complete week without being moved. The room was tiny – nothing like what we expected for a “Premium” room. There was a sofa made out to be a single bed right next to the double – no privacy at all. A glass door separated the bedroom from the toilette and shower – again, no privacy. A large window was between the bathroom and bedroom, so if anyone used the toilette at night, it would light up the whole room. We booked an inland view, but the view from the balcony was a concrete staircase to another block – not even a garden or pool view. But what was even worse, the air conditioning didn’t work. It was on but the temperature didn’t drop past 29 degrees. We complained to the holiday rep’s and reception – they sent out maintenance on several occasions but still didn’t work. Eventually they moved us to another room after 6 days which we were happy about (still had a glass door and window between the bedroom and toilette in the new room). Pet hate number 1: Smoking The hotel didn’t have designated areas for people smoking. People were smoking at the night entertainment around young children, in the outside restaurant areas when people were eating and around the pool. Sure a designated area can’t be that hard to arrange! There are plenty of pools at the hotel – those closer to the rooms were mainly for young families with music, entertainment, ball games etc. The infinity pool near the beach was a “quiet” pool with no games allowed. Some families thought it was acceptable to bring their own music speakers and play quite loud which wasn’t acceptable. The hotel should have an age restriction on the infinity pool – there were two occasions where younger children used it as a toilette which resulted in the pool being closed for 3 hours. The beach is quite small and stoney – not directly accessible from the hotel area which I was disappointed with. There is also a water park which we used once as the slides are prone to giving you friction burns – so be careful. Pet hate number 2: Reserving lounges There are plenty of loungers, but some people thought it was perfectly OK to put towels on a sun lounger and not return to them for 6-7 HOURS. In other resorts that I’ve stayed at – if you are not on a lounger for 45 minutes, the towels are removed to let other families use the loungers. Pool towels are

I can’t say enough about this hotel. In short the staff make it an amazing experience. We arrived early in the morning and were greeted at the front desk by Fedra and Isolte who were very helpful informative and arranged our luggage to be kept until our room was ready which was given shortly after the other guests departure with no delay. I must thank Melina in reservations for assisting prior to arrival and also greeted us at the check-in. We were taken to the room by Sakis the porter who was chatty and explained the room facilities very well. The room was spotless and smelled of cleanliness. Two types of pillows were provided (soft and hard) which suited both my husband and I. The room maintenance was also very good, no noise from air-conditioning and well soundproofed. There was an excellent television system with various channels and information for all you needed to know of the hotel services and facilities. We needed some assistance in booking our a la carte meals and guest relations Fotini was very helpful in arranging this. She had a very good knowledge of the hotel’s services and happenings and was very pleasant to talk to. The hotel grounds are well kept with lush greenery and spacious gardens throughout. All outdoor areas are constantly clean throughout the day and the sea views are amazing. The food is amazing. The buffet has all you need for all preferences with live cooking stations for omelettes, eggs and crepes. Fresh salads and fruit and well cooked tasty dishes. Allergens were clearly marked and areas were kept clean even at peak times. The kids buffet was also a great option and I must admit that I helped myself to a few items. Thank you to Christos who served us daily. The a la carte restaurants were excellent. Both the food and the service were at very high standards. The staff in all three restaurants work very hard and yet manage to seem relaxed and are well organised allowing time to speak with each guest. Their sincere hospitality shone through. A special mention to Sevastos who seemed to be everywhere, Chrysa and Julia at the Asian, Giannis at taverna, Angela and Konstantina at the Italian. All very kind, polite and caring that was evident for all tables. The entertainment was great for families and adults and the water park a great addition to complement the rest of the daily activities.  Christos from the reception also organised a taxi for us to visit the 7 springs nature trail and the medieval old town which were both a good day out. The old town is also attached to the newer part of Rhodes City Centre where you can also stop for a coffee and local delicacies and do some shopping. Well done to the hotel manager and his team for all that they offer and especially the atmosphere and hospitality. We would definitely recommend Atlantica Aegean Blue and hope to return to this or another Atlantica in the future.

Jessie and her team made sure I had a great meal. There is a pre-booking system for GF meals (pasta/pizza/special meals/ anything you want really!) they accommodate GF at the snack bar too. Waffles/pancakes and cooked breakfast in the morning. And ice cream, chocolate brownies etc for dessert. All GF as long as you ask!

We arrived on the 22.09.2024 and going to leave on the 29.09.2024. It's Friday today and we are still very amased and happy to have chosen this hotel. Rita is such a lovely young woman, with whom we made the a la carte Reservation. She is a very kind and helpful Person who explained everything with such joy and patient. The rooms are modern as the Hotel itself. Everything is clean. Since now we can't complain about anything. We can recommend the Asian a la carte restaurant. It was extraordinary exquisite. The Cocktails taste amazing here. All the staff members are very friendly here. There is a direct entry to the beach. One of the best Hotels so far we have visited. You are able to climb the mountain. We can recommend this to enjoy the sunrise. Amazing views from up there. Just make sure to have good shoes. If you want a taste of heaven on earth we definitely recommend this hotel. We are 3 adults. But for children there are also enough entertainment. There is also a quiet area so nobody feels disturbed :)

This was our first experience as a family going an all inclusive holiday and we are so glad we booked here (via TUI). I wasn’t convinced when we booked that it would feel like a 5 star but from the moment we stepped off the plane I couldn’t have been more wrong. The hotel looks exactly as pictured. We booked a premium family inland room but were given a sea view which was a huge bonus and we were so pleased with. Rooms are a good size with lots of storage and the partition is great for breaking up the room with children. Our children had the best time, from the water park to seeing their confidence grow from being able to go and order their own drinks at the bar. Little touches like the steps up to the bar so they can be eye level were so well thought out. No problem getting a sun bed and most people were considerate /no early morning rushing out to put towels out etc. I was worried about the food /buffet but was pleasantly surprised, the quality and variety was very good. My particular favourite was the fish and veg cooking station. There was such a good mix of food - our children didn’t need the children’s section. They loved trying different things at the various themed nights. The ice cream parlour was a huge hit. Our two also loved all the entertainment- ‘fun manager’ (as they called him) does a fantastic job, always something going on in the evenings and often during the day. The lady running the fitness and well being programme is brilliant, I was persuaded to do a couple of aqua classes, I also joined a meditation and a yoga session - both excellent. What really stood out for me though, was how serious they took the water safety. I was so surprised by the amount of lifeguards on duty - who really were amazing, very on the ball and taking it very seriously, which as a parent I found so reassuring. It was the same at the water park. I would like to say a big thanks to the hotel for that. And of course to the lifeguards themselves. We’re not ones to want to return to the same place twice but I would certainly return, and recommend to others.

The hotel was absolutely perfect. We loved our swim up pool room, what a treat. The staff were all so helpful and friendly all over the hotel. In particular Jessie in the restaurant was a superstar - our son has multiple allergies and she brought him his own food cooked separately in the kitchen for every single meal - unbelievable! We have never had that service before and it was so reassuring for him. Thomas in the swim up pool bar was also huge fun - the boys loved him making their drinks with comedic flair. The pools were great, the boys (aged 14 and 11) loved the waterslides. Food was delicious and the drinks were too. I used the gym a lot which was handy and the grounds of the hotel are kept beautifully. Perfect position too - very near a beach with water sports that we all loved. If you can, get up early to see the sunrise - spectacular!

Just back from a wonderful holiday here. Beautiful setting - I could never tire of the lovely sea and amazing mountain views (do a climb to see the sunrise if you can!). Hotel is in very well kept gardens - thank you to all the gardening/maintenance and cleaning staff for all their hard work. Toilets modern and clean (one set ground floor near small arcade/shop, one set by lobby/lifts on first floor, one down steps next to Italian restaurant at far end of pool and also at the water park). Lagoon style pool was great - into 3 sections that flowed into each other with bridges over. Part nearest to hotel building went from ankle deep to 110cm, bit between the bridges up to 130cm (this is where they do the aqua fitness twice a day 11am and 3.30 - all ages and abilities welcome - lovely lady that runs it) and the latter part with a fountain in the middle is 140cm. There is a separate activity pool where they did water polo etc and another very shallow one with a sun shade for toddlers/babies. Music is played via unobtrusive small rock shaped speakers, so unless you are right by them is not particular noisy I don’t think. Waterpark has a lazy river and good slides plus a safari themed (up to age 12) bit with water jets and some not bad slides either! There is an also again a separate toddler shallow splash area with water jets. Lifeguards on site and were helpful and reasonable. There is the infinity pool at the bottom - 140cm I think down to ankle deep with the swim up bar. This is in the ‘Blue Zone’ which is supposed to be quiet - there is no music and no inflatables, so it is ‘quieter’ but don’t expect super quiet - as it is a family hotel it’s not that big a deal. We chose this area to sit on the sun loungers - there are grassy areas so you don’t have to be too close to others and can move loungers about under the trees to keep out of (or in) the sun as you wish. Plenty of sun beds still at 10.30 so no rush! Lifeguards start at 10 so prior to that very few if any people in the pool so is good if you want a quiet swim (I liked to do a few lengths of breast stroke as a bit of exercise each day!). We had a premium partial sea view with partition (block H so by blue zone overlooking infinity pool and sea). Room was modern and had everything we needed. The bedroom/bathroom layout is not conventional (on the website you can see room plans) but really didn’t impact on our stay one bit. Cleaned/mopped/sheets changed daily. 800ml bottles of water per person, same for cartons of juice and 2 cans of beer replenished daily. Bars - great cocktails made fresh (though also try the alcoholic slushies!) ,very prompt and friendly service at all bars and very kind and friendly to the children. I brought some plastic glasses on the strength of some people saying they were served drinks in paper cups but that never happened to me or my husband the whole time (only the kids drinks) so didn’t need those at all. Food - this is a big thing for us as my daughter

The hotel has many advantages for families with young children - the main one is the water park and the vast variety of swimming pools. Regarding food and drinks I believe there can be some improvements- drinks are local and are all unknown brands. The food is average. I would like to thank the front desk staff - cristos and Vicky for their warm hospitality, attention and care, they completely upgraded our stay with their help and patience

Second visit here, which is unusual as I always like to find new places to stay & see. Loved it so much the first time around I broke the golden rule. It’s difficult to know where to start, but it’s almost impossible to find fault here. Staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are spotlessly clean and the food is outstanding. Buffet style, with two live cooking stations. The choices must run into a hundred at least. In nearly a month of being here in total, we have never had a bad meal. In all honesty I’ve paid good money at top quality restaurants & had worse food. The treatment spa has been fully refurbished over the winter. An amazing place, staff like everyone here are spot on. I have an hours massage today with one of the therapists Nikos. What a great guy & he certainly knows his stuff. I have been lucky to have had many a massage in my time, but that one was up there in the top three. As boring as it sounds I can’t pick fault with it at all. Aegean Blue, if you read this, keep a hold of that young man. He’s a real asset.
