This hostel is situated in the center of the picturesque Venetian old town of Rethymno, offering a small oasis of fun and relaxation to travelers from all over the world! It's set within peaceful surrounding streets yet close to the town's long sandy beach and exciting night-life.
Entering from the street you will find a typical Venetian building with thick stone walls and wooden floors upstairs.Downstairs there is a beautiful patio surrounded by the green of our gardens for relaxation.
If you use Rethymno hostel you'll have easy access to both the bus station for travel within the island, and the ferry port for boats to and from Piraeus.
Centrally positioned on the island of Crete, travelers can use the hostel as a base for day trips to the most attractive sites of the island like the Samaria Gorge, Lake Kournas, Preveli beach, Knossos, Festos, Falasarna, Ballos Beach, Elafonisi e.t.c. or the various historical and archaeological sites around.
In the evening most travelers gather for a drink ( or two ) on the hostel's patio to chill out, before starting the usual restaurant and bar hopping!!!
There is a 24 hour CCTV system in the entrance and common room areas of the hostel!
WiFi Internet is available for our guests !
The warm and friendly atmosphere will make your stay at Rethymno Youth Hostel a memorable one.

Sin una razón válida despiden a la gente. A veces hay agua fría. Tuve una muy mala experiencia, nunca volveré a ir allí. Me trataron muy mal. Pocos servicios en la cocina que no permiten preparar el almuerzo.

No tenéis idea de lo fantástico que es este albergue. Está justo en el medio del hermoso casco antiguo, pero en una calle tranquila y sin ruido de tráfico. El albergue en sí es precioso y está bajo una meticulosa y cálida gestión familiar. El lugar es súper limpio, social, cómodo y animado. Casi todo el mundo reserva una o dos noches y no puede evitar prolongarla, algunos se quedan durante meses. Es un hogar lejos del hogar y no podría estar más agradecido con Joseph y Nicolas por las últimas seis semanas que pasé allí.

Me he alojado en este albergue antes y cuando estoy en Rethymnon siempre vuelvo para otra estancia. Está en una excelente ubicación en el casco antiguo y tiene mucho que ofrecer. Personal amable, habitaciones limpias y comodidades, y lo recomendaría a cualquiera que busque un alojamiento económico con la ventaja adicional de conocer a otros viajeros. Volveré otra vez :)

Primera vez ECHADO de un albergue Mi experiencia en este lugar fue terrible. NO sea honesto con los miembros del personal, o SERÁ ECHADO. La sábana de la almohada no había sido cambiada (por cierto, lo mismo que la sábana del colchón) después de que la última persona se fue, así que la miré y noté un bogey (secreción nasal) en ella. Luego, cuando le pedí una sábana de almohada nueva a uno de los miembros del personal, mencioné esos fantasmas. Un nativo alto de Rethymno (persona 1) recibió mal mi comentario, pero su colega me proporcionó una sábana de almohada nueva. Luego, cuando subí las escaleras, el "panel" con el número de habitación, que estaba en el llavero, se cayó por las escaleras. Al mirarlo, me di cuenta de que estaba desgastado y no en la forma correcta, razón por la cual se cayó el "panel". Planeando salir 2 minutos más tarde y recogerlo en ese momento, no fui inmediatamente sino que fui a guardar algunas cosas en mi habitación. No respondió y se fue, solo para regresar 1 minuto después, con el dinero que pagué por la habitación y me dijo que GENTE COMO YO NO ERA BIENVENIDA EN ESTE ESTABLECIMIENTO. De hecho, juzgó, y cito, que tuve "mal comportamiento". Luego me pidió que "me llevara mis datos y me fuera". Lo cual hice. Por lo tanto, se debe evitar este lugar.

Stayed in Rethymno in this hostel for two nights, and would've stayed longer if I had the time! For only €10/night I had a simple bunk bed in a female dorm, but it was the friendly people staying and most amazing hospitable staff that makes your stay that extra bit special! I've stayed in plenty of hostels but this one tops the customer service!! Cheers Alex's and George!! :D

The best hostel I've ever been! It is perfectly situated, with a perfect ambiance. Very easy to meet people from all over the world and make many friends if you travel alone, Great Hospitality... 100% recomended

This is one of the nicest, cleanest hostels I've stayed in for years. The staff are really friendly and helpful. My original flight was cancelled, so I arrived a day later than my original booking in the middle of the night which was no problem when I arrived at the hostel. As a single, young woman travelling alone I can't agree with the previous review on this page. The male staff have been professional and in no way inappropriate towards me during my trip. I feel completely safe staying here and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hostel to friends and any woman travelling alone. The location is great too.

we book for 2 night but we changed our mind spending just one night at the end. We didn´t get our money back but the guy told us we could come back here during our trip around Crete and don´t pay for that night. We didn´t come but at least we had that chance. Cheap place to stay if you go to Rethymo for one day. Close to the center many restaurants. If you go to Rethymo you can`t miss Kyria Maria and have rabbit. One of the best things we had during two weeks in Crete. 100% recommend. just go and try is even cheap. nice terrace just in the street.
