"Paid £30 for a Tuesday night. No breakfast or early check in needed, so very basic requirements and they met them all. Reception staff attentive and friendly welcome. The room was clean and tidy as was the bathroom. .The tv worked and the room was warm enough yet not too hot to sleep. The bed was comfy enough. Stayed here once before in Jan and was fine then too. If you want a bed for the night and simple room set up. You could do a lot worse than this. "

"Stayed here many times and never had an problem. Room is clean and bed is confortable. The lady on reception at check out was very nice and the cleaning ladies always helpful. Would stay again."

Premier Inn Reading (Caversham Bridge)

"Lovely hotel. Most miserable reception staff I have ever encountered, especially the man who was on the morning we left. I politely mentioned that whilst I appreciated that they had put a fan in the room because of the heat, the state of it, it was beyond filthy, wasn't really acceptable. He barely acknowledged my concern, didn't look up from the computer screen, and just mumbled, I'll tell the cleaner. He most definitely should not be fronting a hotel reception. Hos absolutely not bothered attitude left a lot to be desired."

"Check in was a bit slow . But stay was decent but they could work on their cleanliness as the bath tube had stains and the toilet flush was not stopping at all was running through the whole night. And bed covers had some stains as well"

"It’s sad to say, as this has been one of our favourite pubs in the area for a while, but we won’t be coming back in a hurry. The food has really let the place down. My daughter ordered a chicken burger which for nearly £16, you’d expect a nice breaded chicken breast, however she was served a frozen Birds Eye burger which wasn’t nice at all. When asked why this was the case, the lady said people used to complain the chicken breast in a burger was too big? This is crazy to me! Who would rather have a frozen burger with mashed chicken then a nice breaded chicken breast for £16. They have also introduced free kids meals. To be honest, I’d rather pay for a decent meal then give my son the burnt pizza (also frozen type) and chips he was served. What’s happened to this pub? I think management needs to rethink their business plans, otherwise I think they’ll start losing business and loyal customers. I used to recommend this pub, saying the food was really nice, but I’m afraid I won’t be doing this anytime soon!"

"Very old country hotel, but not old at all. Very unique. It is said that George Bruni's house is just behind the hotel. There is a very popular and unique bar. The room is large and clean"
