We stayed at the Premier Inn At Rayleigh Weir for three nights because it is conveniently situated on the A127, close to our friends’ house. The receptionist on our arrival - sorry, I did not see his name - greeted us warmly and was very pleasant. A second keycard was available. Our room on the first floor faced the very busy A127, but the triple glazing meant that you could not hear a sound from outside. The room and bathroom were immaculate, with fluffy towels and toiletries. You have to request the room to be cleaned, which is still strange, especially when you stay for more than one night. As always, the beds were comfortable and there were sufficient pillows. All staff greeted us politely and the overall impression was that they enjoyed working there. We did not eat breakfast in the hotel, or other meals in the associated Harvester as we were dining with friends. We enjoyed the stay.
