Casa Masoli

My husband and I stayed at Casa Masoli for one week in January in Ravenna. We selected the ground floor suite. Besides being very spacious, it was filled with treasures, books, paintings, sofas, and many historical objects from the family home. Our room was spotless, with private bath, lovely shower, and amenities such as coffeemaker, fridge, closet space. The hot water was instant and plentiful. Since we were in Ravenna for a week, we could spread out. The owner, Anna, couldn’t have been nicer and couldn’t do enough for us, explaining where to go for all the mosaics, restaurant recommendations and making reservations for them. Breakfast was included in a sunny dining room on the 1st floor. Anna made us lovely large cups of cappuccino every morning and there was always a selection of fresh squeezed orange juice, pastries, toast, eggs to order, fresh fruit, yogurt, and more. Since there were six rooms, we could chat at breakfast with other guests but each guest had their own table. The neighborhood was safe and extremely close to the center of Ravenna. We walked everywhere. It was not crowded as we were there in January. It was chilly, in the 40’s and 50’s. Back home in Pennsylvania, we had left bitter cold and snow! We wanted to experience high quality B&Bs, with comfort and value, not cookie cutter hotels without charm. This is perfect for a wonderful experience in an amazing historical home but with all the modern comforts, including heat and AC. What a gem! The room was comfortable, the rate was excellent, Anna the owner was delightful and hands on (she cooked the breakfast), and the location was wonderful (walking distance to the most important sites, restaurants, and central district activity).

Thank you for a wonderful stay! Unfortunatelly we came 8 hr late due to delayed flight, but our hostess did wait for us with a big smile. Our suite was beyond what we had hoped for, and as many others has written -the breakfast was amazing Also a big thank you for helpng us with getting a car to the cruise-port. (We have now learned that it is not easy i Ravenna, so remember to do so the day before) Hope to come back soon!

This hotel is beautifully updated and very clean. My room was spacious and I did not want for anything. The breakfast was most impressive, including a generous selection of fruits, cheeses, meats, pastries, juices and made to order espresso drinks and eggs. The location was ideal, within easy walking distance of restaurants, monuments and shopping. Anna and her staff could not have been more accommodating. Prior to my stay, Anna had provided me with car service options to facilitate my arrival from Bologna. My plane was delayed and she was gracious regarding a later than expected arrival and also recommended a nearby restaurant for dinner, most appreciated after a long journey. She and her staff seemed happy to assist in providing information regarding renown monuments and how to get there. The lobby was also full of helpful information. I loved my time in Ravenna--the mosaics are absolutely stunning--and was a bit sad to leave the lovely accommodations.

Wonderful location close to all the historic sites in Ravenna. Large, spacious room in 17th century home that has been converted to a bed and breakfast. Most importantly, the owner and staff went out of their way to accommodate us. Can't say enough good things about our stay.

A truly lovely B&B in Ravenna, itself a lovely city in the north of Italy worth a few days' visit. The B&B is in an old palazzo, which truly has the feel of a private home. Rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated, and bathrooms are large and clean. Breakfast is in a lovely dining room and more than filling with many delicious selections and fresh eggs to order if you like. The hostess, Anna, is a warm and lovely person who is quite helpful with tips and a good map is provided upon arrival. Several lovely restaurants within easy walking distance; in fact, I had some of the best means ever in Italy there. I highly recommend Casa Masoli if you are traveling to Ravenna, the city of mosaics.
