I booked the room for a friend, everything was good and as expected

Lovely hotel with a great location. Easy access to town and beachfront with cafes restaurants and shops. Easy access to ferry to visit Portofino which can be reached in half an hour with a stop at Santa Margherita if you wish . Good parking garage. Good breakfast with great coffee. Rooms were adequate size for three people clean and comfortable. Would recommend

Only five minutes walk to the ferry terminal and the waterfront and easy access to both Cinque Terra and Portofino A very affordable option with owners that go the extra mile to ensure that you remember them and make your stay a good experience Comfortable rooms and a brilliant rooftop terrace with water view are a highlight and when we go back, we will certainly stay there again I left some clothes in the room and the owners couldn’t be more cooperative in arranging for it to come back to me

Lovely hotel in a great location near to shops and restaurants and only 3 minutes walk to the beautiful sea-front promenade. Our room was on the top floor - small elevator up to 4th floor and a few steps further to the 5th - with direct access to the large shared terrace, which had an amazing view and was the perfect place to relax with a drink and a good book in the late afternoon sun. The room itself was large and clean, with a very comfortable bed, TV, air-conditioning, and good-sized fridge that chilled our drinks perfectly. We didn't take advantage of the breakfast option, so can't comment on the range/quality, but we did enjoy a lovely limoncello from the bar one evening, and also gratefully accepted a couple of espressos when we first arrived and were waiting for the room to be ready - a lot earlier than the official check-in time, thanks to the extremely helpful staff. Actually, the number of reviews mentioning the helpfulness of the staff was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel for our stay, and I have to agree. Even before we arrived, Lucrezia was so helpful in arranging our transfer from Genoa airport, and also recommended and booked a restaurant for our first night's meal (a special one for my husband's birthday). Thank you to everyone at Hotel Stella - we had a truly amazing stay and would highly recommend!

Lovely hotel. Had a truly restful and enjoyable stay. Had a room at the front of the hotel with a balcony. Spacious and comfortable with a good shower. Free parking outside the hotel. The staff were lovely. Spent a while talking to Giovanni in the reception who was really friendly and knowledgeable. Very close to the town centre - just a short pleasant walk. Highly recommended. Pleasant bar area also.

Hotel Stella is a great affordable option, in the best location to discover the whole Italian riviera! I stayed for five nights, and saw everything from Portofino to Cinque Terre to Sestri Levante. Either a bus, boat, or train was within walking distance of the hotel, and the town of Rapallo itself had quite a bit to offer (one of the better little beaches in the area - only Sestri Levante was better). The staff went out of their way to educate me about the area, and transportation. They spoke perfect English, and were more like airbnb hosts than hotel front desk staff. Beatrice, Alice and Stephano are truly wonderful people, and the hotel was a great find!

Room dark and damp. Bedspread smelled like dirt. On day 3 a smell of drain appeared; bathroom window was not open. I asked for a new room, twice. I was firmly rejected. I cannot recommend anyone to stay here. I do not recall I have tried worse.
