The resort is a good property especially for family with kids. Good location, good vibes. The only thing that can be improved is the ambience and the service. The staff is polite, serves you well. Need improvements with basic services like providing complimentary water bottle for the day without asking. But a place worth recommending for a good stay and family getaway!

”during my recent stay at hotel mari aai, i had a fairly good experience. The hotel's location was convenient, and the staff was generally friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable, and the amenities met my basic needs. However, there were a few areas where improvement is needed. The room interior is not so good. The wi-fi signal was a bit weak, and the breakfast options were somewhat limited. Additionally, there was some noise from neighboring rooms, which affected the overall tranquility of my stay. In summary, hotel mari aai provided a decent stay, but there is room for enhancement in terms of amenities, interior design and noise isolation. I would consider staying here again, depending on my needs for future trips”

The overall experience was good, specially the food. Just a couple of things: 1. They do not offer room service, unless you know the owner. We saw food being delivered to another room but when we asked for it the straight up denied. 2. The room is good but not at all worth the tariff

Ssamuel eelThink this is the best hotel we have around the corner already. Will surely still come again if I am around this city corner. Room was generally clean and comfort. No sleeping issues here.
Room are well designed and up to date with netflix and type A ports. Impressive hotel for this area.
Gym was rather impressive too.
Breakfast was ok and there's very friendly staff.

UUsuario invitadoRadha's Cottage is a lovely retreat, very well located at the end of the road in Matheran. It's a simple place, furnished largely with period furniture. The food is outstanding - the best I've had in 6 weeks of traveling in India.
For those who are unfamiliar with Matheran as I was, a couple pieces of information:
- The ”toy train” runs very infrequently. Be sure to get a schedule if you plan to take it from the parking.
- It's a 4.5km walk from the train station near the parking to Radha's. Don't believe the stationmaster if he tells you it's a 20 minute walk, it's an hour's walk.
- It's still another 1.5km from the train station in the village to Radha's. If you've got a bag it's probably a good idea to get some help from a porter.
- Sometimes the electricity goes out. When we stayed, these outages were brief, just a minute or 2.
- Sometimes the water in the bathroom is dark brown. This surprised us one morning. It's dirt, and cleared during the course of the day.

UUsuario invitadoThis is a historically important location in Matheran. Ratheesh and his business partner were so welcoming and helpful and the accommodation is so full of character. For a truly “green” and unique stay in a totally unique location, the Verandah in the Forest is absolutely a must. This is undoubtedly the place to stay in Matheran if you can get a room - would suggest booking early so as not to miss the chance to stay here - and is so much more than a hotel.
Food was superb and because of the size and layout, never seemed busy. Quiet and relaxing stay.
As there’s no phone signal in Matheran Hill Station I’d suggest contacting Ratheesh before making the ascent to the hill station for location instructions. There is wi-fi at the Verandah in the Forest.

UUsuario invitadoLocation is just 5 min walk to beach. Rooms are clean. Food is bit costly but complimentary breakfast was good. Amenities are good. Swimming pool is too close to entry and helpdesk so might feel bit awkward if you are not used to it. Service is good. Overall good experience.

Rooms don’t have Wi-Fi. Staff is friendly and co-operative. Swimming pool doesn’t seem to be maintained so didn’t feel like getting in.
