Villa di Capovento

Our stay was perfect. The location is beautiful and central to several attractions in the region. Our room was cozy and had everything we needed. Stella and Ettore, our hosts, are friendly and helpful. Their home cooked meals were delicious! We will definitely be going back.

The best there is if you need a quiet retreat venue! This is it! The food prepared by the chef is comparable to a michellin star rated. The service..is excellent! It is a perfect if you need a place to stay in Chianti.

Everything about the hotel is exceptional. Stella & Ettore share their great pride for their home and it shows up everywhere. The grounds are pristine, the rooms are immaculate and everything that comes out of the kitchen is fresh and delicious. Fantastic location for exploring Tuscany.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Villa Capovento. Stella is the perfect hostess--alway son hand yet not at all intrusive as we relaxed in the various areas of the Villa. Ettore's fabulous dinners were a highlight with multiple entrees and starters to choose from and a new menu each night. The rooms were homey and comfortable. Plenty of room for our belongings. The shower isn't the most modern but it sufficed and didn't detract from our stay in the least. Olive oil shampoo, body wash and lotion from Capovento's own olives were provided. Fluffy towels, comfortable beds with daily maid service. We enjoyed cocktails on the patio in the evenings and had a wine tasting with cheese, bruschetta and meat pairings provided by Stella one night before dinner. Breakfast was amazing with fresh fruits, fruit juice, homemade yogurt with honey and preserves, bread, and eggs any way you like. This is such a beautiful and peaceful property--you can literally experience moments of complete silence. We look forward to returning to Villa Capovento and bringing friends to enjoy this special place.

Villa di Capovento is such a special place. We spent four nights here, and loved it! The grounds, and the views are beautiful. Super relaxing. The owners, Stella and Ettore, are so welcoming and attentive. We ate breakfast and dinner every day there - such amazing food, all cooked with love. And they have a good wine list, accommodating all budgets. We rented their e-Bikes one day, and enjoyed the bike tour around the area. We also walked into the town (Castellina in Chianti) one day, exploring the charming little town. Highly recommended!
