Great hotel wonderfull employes great food and overall holiday to remeber. Beautifull nature everything clean safe and friendly I recomend it

Go to Rabac and stay at the Valamar was the advice given to us by a Croatian friend. Searching for this city of Rabac, it seems to be a well kept secret. This hotel is one of the many that Valamar has in this corner of the Istrian Coast. I liked the all-inclusive option. You get to eat at their Buffet restaurant and use the bars at the pools and the lobby. The all-inclusive drinks are local Croatian beer and wine plus cocktails. (You can't order a branded alcohol) This is more than enough to enjoy with your meal or sip in the comfortable couches in the balconies and lobbies.Food at the Mediterranean restaurant has a lot of vegetarian options. This is because along with the meats, Croatians eat a lot of vegetables. Being originally from Asia, we didn't find any spicy dishes but that's not a disadvantage. I enjoyed the mangold, Olive bar, the fruits, different types of sauteed vegetables, yogurt, bread, chicken and fish cooked in front of you. Economically the all-inclusive works out cheaper. We rented a car and parking is plenty even if the hotel lot is full you can park outside the hotel. Rooms for a family had one kind size bed, and two sofa beds. The hotel is predominantly filled with guests with kids. From the car number plates, many of the guests drive from Austria, Germany, Sweden, UK. Very friendly hotel staff, liked our check-in with Chiara. You can walk to the town of Rabac on a nice promenade. There are 3 pools and the public beach is connected. The beach is a pebble beach but that is not a problem. Here are a few things the hotel needs to take care of: The service at the Mediterranean restaurant is very laid back. Some days it's exceptional with the lady supervisor joining in on getting the tables cleared, on other days the staff and managers walk by tables with dirty plates of the guests on the side to be cleared. May just need some operational tweaks to fix this. The kitchen runs out of the dishes within a hour and if you are at the restaurant at the last hour that it is open, you'll find the ice creams completely empty and no sign of replacement. Again an operational issue. The beds are very comfortable. There's a hot water kettle and instant coffee plus tea in the room. Communication is not a problem, hotel staff speak English. Entertainment can be used at the sister hotels and there's a nice crowd before the wine bar every evening with music. We used Rabac as our base and made day trips to Ljublijana, Slovenia, Trieste, Italy. Pula and Rovinj. A very enjoyable stay.

Perfect family vacation! All what one need for family during vacation with beautiful sea extra :) Food, pools, staff all great!

Clean rooms and pools, friendly staff,great food, beautifully facilities, cosy stay.We loved everything about this hotel located by the beach and surrounded by beautifully nature.We had everything we needed, including a great fun for kids during day and in the evening.I can recommend this hotel to everyone and we will definitely come back!

The hotel is very clean and accessible. The pool facilities and staff are fantastic. If something wasn’t quite right it was quick to be addressed. Staff are super friendly and helpful to direct or provide assistance with enquiries. The beach and waters are pristine and great for snorkelling. It can be a bit difficult to get a sunbed with alot of guests getting up early to place their towels and leave them their all day despite no longer using them or at least stepping away to do other things, perhaps a system could be put in place where if you leave your seat and intend to be away for a few hours then towels should be taken away or will be collected. If you normally suffer from mosquito bites, take bug bite spray!!! Rooms are kept cool which makes sleeping easy although ask to be away from the main entertainment area if you have young kids and want a good nights sleep. Food options at the buffet are fresh and changed regularly but the offering becomes quite competitive, although certainly nothing wrong with the quality. None of these issues I will say were enough for us to say this is not a great resort that caters well to adults and children. We would recommend it

This was our second year visiting the Bellevue and we absolutely love it there! The hotel is beautiful, spotlessly clean and very well decorated. Our children are aged 5 and 9 and they love the all inclusive food, the slides and the evening entertainment. The food is fantastic, very fresh with excellent variety - ignore any negative reviews about the food - it is truly wonderful. The all inclusive drinks are also great - I’m no wine expert but the wine is lovely as well as the cocktails. We paid extra for a sea view room this time and it was really worth it, stunning views. The rooms are perfect for a young family as the children have their own space with a sliding door between. The staff are all fantastic, greeting you with a smile but leaving you alone to enjoy your holiday unless you need them. We spent most of our days going down the slides or swimming in the sea but we did visit Labin (the hotel will arrange a taxi - €25 each way) as well as getting the land train into Rabac. We were extremely sad to leave this year and have recommended to our friends with young children as well our parents to visit out of the main season! Something to be aware of there are lots and lots of steps- this is due to the multi levels of the hotel and the fact it is on a hillside. There are ramps for prams and lifts but less able might find it more of a struggle. Fantastic hotel - would highly recommend.
