During our driving tour of PEI we had very few accommodations pre-booked, as we had no real plans for most of the trip and it was June shoulder season. We called one late afternoon and were able to get a room for that night at a very reasonable rate. From the outside, it looks like an old-school highway motel – don’t be discouraged. It’s a few minutes drive to the North Rustico harbour in one direction, and Cavendish in the other. It has a grassy/play area for kids and a couple of picnic tables. Each room has two Muskoka/Adirondack chairs on the small deck in front of the room parking spot. Across the street are a liquor store and a takeout place. There are many good places to eat in North Rustico. The motel rooms have all been refurbished and they are immaculate. The beds are comfortable, the linens/towels are spotless and fluffy, the mini-fridge, microwave and Keurig are new, the bathroom was spotless. The rooms are a good size, nicely decorated with unique fireplace mantles (re-purposed from old local homes), east-coast wall art and other items that have been re-purposed for furniture and/or decoration. We were checked-in and out the next day by the owner. Tao was very personable, and we had a couple of nice conversations with him. We had a very positive experience at this motel and would not hesitate to stay here again.

What a charming and quirky hotel. Charlottetown is a lovely small city, dotted with historic buildings. One of those is the Dundee Arms Inn. The lobby and common areas aren't air conditioned, and we arrived on a particularly warm day. I worried as I entered carrying our things up to our third floor room. Thankfully, the room had a very efficient air conditioner. The room had lots of character, almost magical. You enter into a sitting area with a sofa, tables, a desk, etc. To the left was a small but tasteful bathroom with the cutest little tub! The angles of the roof cast intriguing shadows. THe large and sturdy bed was situated in the turret, making for a tight squeeze for us larger men, but the space was a whimsical escape. The inn includes a large deck with numerous tables, mostly for drinks from the bar, but it's also a great place to dine on breakfast delivered from nearby eateries. The only real drawback is the lack of elevator. My advice for couples is to pack one small bag for both. That will save numerous trips up and down the stairs.

Me quedé con amigos en la casa de Harris, que es parte de The Great George. Es sólo una casa de corriente, a la que añadían unidades temporales A/C. Apreciaría las habitaciones/condiciones generales de la casa 1 a 2 estrellas. Debían renovar realmente todo el lugar. El baño ya se rompió cuando nos ingresamos. El hotel tiene un buen servicio de limpieza, y el hotel tiene un buen servicio de limpieza. El Wi-Fi apenas funciona en las 3 habitaciones de arriba (continuamente desconectadas), y la cocina sólo viene con placas y tazas, y no realmente nada para cocinar. Normalmente no sería un problema, excepto que viajo internacionalmente y sólo compré un esim ...so cada vez que necesito algo, necesito caminar al edificio principal del hotel. Incluso después de informar a varias personas sobre el teléfono quebrado, nunca se corrigió durante mi estancia nocturna. En general, no recomendaría este hotel. Hay alojamientos significativamente más baratos en Charlottetown con mejor desayuno y mejor servicio. También, si tienes problemas con escaleras, NO reserve esta casa. Las escaleras son muy pequeñas y puedo ver a las personas lesionando a sí mismas.

My husband and I recently got married at the Rodd Charlottetown, and we loved our experience! The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure the day went smoothly and all of our needs were met. The price for the services rendered was very reasonable, and the food was absolutely incredible. They helped make the day truly memorable!

We are two seniors ( one with significant mobility issues) and could have used more support with our luggage. There were three gentleman on the front desk and were not busy with guests at the time of our arrival or departure. Instead busy chit chatting among themselves. One evening we tried to contact the front desk, room services etc. and each number reported the mailbox as full. Concerning if there was an emergency. We did manage to contact front desk when we used our own cell phones and called the number for booking reservations. The tv also did not work on our last 2 days. The staff however were prompt and tried to repair the tv but were unable to do so .
