We stayed her in March this year and had an amazing time, and we stayed here previously 3 years ago. When we arrived at the hotel a lot of the staff recognised us from March which was amazing and we felt so welcomed. However, on this trip, we have noticed a few cutbacks (hence the 4 star and not a 5 star). They have definitely cut back on the variety of food we were offered at breakfast and dinner. But I can honestly say that what was available was cooked well and I didn't go hungry. The rooms are still immaculately cleaned by Mahmood, and all the staff are amazing, especially in the main restaurant where we were looked after very well. We don't drink alcohol so I can't comment on the drinks, but we always had plenty of soft drinks and coffee whenever we needed it. The beach area was clean, and the reef is excellent with plenty of sea life to see. Overall a very nice stay so well done to the team at the Jaz for making our stay so enjoyable.

Place for rest and in the same time you can have it a lot of memories. From animation team a lot of energy they’re so funny and friendly. Always you can find something to do. Pool party, beach parties. During the day activities which you can join with animation team!

The hotel in itself is pretty and big, with a nice beach and a lovely snorkeling area. Great animation team with lovely energy, every evening there was a small party until 24 pm. There is a bar inside a pool which was one of the most frequently used by us. If you want to use the a’la carte restaurant, I recommend the one with an Egyptian cuisine. Portions were enormous and food truly delicious, kudos to the chef. That being said, unfortunately we had some unacceptable things happen to us during our stay. My boyfriend bought the only matte sunglasses in the hotel shop, the rest had a shiny exterior. The next day, when he wanted to buy some additional things, the guy who works in the shop wanted to take those sunglasses from him by force and offer him a new pair, because some other guy wanted matte sunglasses specifically. He did not ask if he agrees to exchange, he just assumed he would want to do it. After our obvious shock and disagreement, the guy started treating us very poorly, speaking to us with a very unpleasant tone of voice. There was no warm water in our room for more than half of a day, within 2 days in total, and one day there was no water at all. The internet connection is poor and most of the times it was impossible to connect to the hotel wi-fi in the room. The staff had no good manners most of the time. They acted as if we were there only to give them tips. I will gladly tip people who deserve it with great service, but it felt like they expect this, and without a tip, they won’t treat you nicely. I really didn’t even feel like going to the bar anymore because I felt like they will be mad that I ordered something. Waiters wanted to take our food before we even finished eating a few times, without asking. The check out was at 12:00 and our airport transfer at 14:15, so once we left our room I asked the receptionist if it’s possible to get 2 clean towels to dry ourselves before the trip. He said it’s not possible and asked “how can I do it?”. I am really confused as I think there’s a lot of ways he could give us towels, or even ask someone to bring them to us, but apparently although they have so many of them this had to be a problem. I feel like the staff wasn’t there for us, but we were there for them to tip them. There needs to be some progress when it comes to how you treat your customers, jaz grand hotel management.

Pros: - spacious room - taste food, everyone could find something - service staff of the hotel very friendly and helpful - two big pools and everyone can find the place for themselves - coral reef better on the Solymar hotel but guest of Jaz Grand Marsa can go there and fun - there are plenty of parties, everyone have fun - special thanks to Mr Ahmed: professional service and hosting us on our anniversary in Zeit Zaitoun restaurant Cons: - no road signs (tip: sign where should be room numbers and Spa, gym places, etc.) - no bottled water in common places

wonderful place. we couldn't have chosen better. the hotel is huge and super well-kept. looks like a small town with lots of greenery. very good food, everyone will find something for themselves. close to a beautiful beach. there are attractions every day, animators very friendly. service nothing to add nothing to subtract, at every pool, in restaurants and in the lobby. I would come back here again
