Dream Lagoon & Aqua Park Resort

Hello, dear friends, like-minded people and travelers! I want to share my impressions of my 34th vacation in Egypt. I stayed in Marsa Alam at the "Dream Lagoon Aqua Park & Resort 5 *", all-inclusive system. I moved to this hotel from another hotel for 3 days, and it was absolutely right, it saved the rest of the vacation. I arrived at the hotel by taxi in the afternoon. At the reception I explained that I had changed the hotel, there were no problems, I was greeted very kindly, I was immediately settled in. The room is on the second floor, overlooking the courtyard with plants and an artificial river. The room is cozy and comfortable, in a European style. Lots of wood, 2 beds, bedside tables, a table, huge wardrobes, mirrors. Water and cosmetics are regularly replenished. Of the minuses - the shower cabin leaked a little. The light and sound insulation are good, you could sleep normally. There is a small balcony, covered with flowers, with a table and 2 chairs. Birds sing in the morning. The cleaning is excellent, they even made swans out of towels. The territory of "Dream Lagoon Aqua Park & Resort 5*" is very large and green, there is room to walk around (in general, there are 2 more hotels nearby, which form the Lagoon View Hotels hotel complex). The architectural style is oriental. There are many plants here, they are well looked after, many colorful flowers and cactus plantations, there is an artificial river and many pools. I did not get to the water park in the neighboring hotel, because there was very little time left for rest. The interior of the reception is very stylish, oriental and interesting. Food is the hotel's strong point. There are several restaurants. The choice of dishes is not very large, but everything is cooked deliciously. The bars prepare snacks: potatoes, hamburgers, pizza and more. It is simply impossible to stay hungry. There are no long queues for food. Waiters bring drinks. There are also several bars on the all-inclusive system: on the beach, at the reception, by the pools. The choice of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and cocktails of normal quality is large. I was pleased with the presence of good coffee. Service is not the hotel's strong point. Unfortunately, there were employees who spoiled the impression. I will give examples. Once we came for dinner late, closer to the end of the restaurant's work. This is a fairly common phenomenon in Egypt. In such a case, in other hotels, employees served the guest until the stated closing time of the restaurant, then started cleaning, and the late guests calmly finished their dinner. In "Dream Lagoon Aqua Park & Resort 5 *" they literally took our drinks, poured them into plastic and in plain text began to rudely demand that we leave the restaurant. This is very unpleasant, and in 34 trips to Egypt I have seen this for the first time. The animation at the hotel is active but unobtrusive, which is great. This was my first time flying abroad for a vacation and I am very pleasedand happy. Personally, I didn’t find any downsides. The room is super, the service is top notch, the food is very tasty and varied. And also on the territory of the hotel there are many very cute cats. And also you can see geckos, they are harmless and adorable. For those interested in the beach theme, I will say right away that this is ideal. The entrance to the sea is smooth and the depth is patrolled by a boat.Nearby there are corals with many beautiful fish. And here you can also see turtles, dolphins and even digons (sea cows) And if you like to have fun, I hasten to please you - the animation team here is just awesome!(my favorite part 3 ) You won't get bored, that's for sure. There are many very interesting, entertaining and sporty shows and games. The team is very friendly, active and cheerful. They will always charge you with positive emotions for all day. If I could, I would definitely stay here much longer. If I write everything that I liked, it will take too much time. I advise you to come here and see everything for yourself.

Very nice and helpfull staff, the rooms are cleaned every day. Some of the pools are heated, very nice to take a dip. The hotel is right on the beach and the food is good. In the evening there is entertainment, diversed and even mini disco for the kids. The entertainment team are very friendly with us and the kids.

The garden in this hotel is absolutely stunning. Whoever loves flowers and plants, will love it! Our room was very spacious, quite simple, comfy and with a balcony with a view to the garden and pool. The view was beautiful. The toilet did leak twice, but staff came and fixed it quick. The room was clean but since we don’t like a daily cleaning, we asked for what we needed only once per few days. Some towels were stained when we got them fresh but the housekeeping exchanged them upon request. However, after fixing the leaking toilet the second time, the floor cleaning around it was done with a toilet brush. That was not what we wanted to see, as you can imagine. You get a half liter bottle of water daily per person. You need to fill them up to have enough water throughout the day but the water dispensers are by the pool bar, in restaurant, reception and so on. More than one bottle per day can be bought at the bar and reception I believe. Pools are lovely, one of them was very quiet and peaceful most of the time, just what we needed! The other one was more lively with all the activities and animators. Pool bar was great, staff in bars, restaurant and everywhere was polite and also very friendly, we enjoyed their company. We loved the dining. There are two restaurants to dine in. We went to the Gardenia restaurant 90% of the time and we loved the food a lot. Some other Egyptian/Turkish hotels we’ve been in in the past, had more choice but honestly, we loved the food too much, so we didn’t miss the bigger choice. So I’ll review the Gardenia restaurant, I loved the fish, it was crazy good, I literally ate just the fish ever lunch and dinner. Also the pasta was really delicious. Various salads and especially different local delicacies were great. They served Egyptian dinner twice a week, that was really lovely! Then there was an Italian dinner twice a week too, also very tasty. Once a week there was a seafood dinner, with grilled prawns, different grilled fish, smoked salmon, etc. lots of delicious food. Husband loved all the beef and all the dishes men tend to like. We loved the fresh fruits, figs and fresh dates. Also the cakes were great, I guess they are slightly different from what we are used to, but we always found something we loved. Only thing to perhaps improve would be the choice of healthier cereals for breakfast
