Lumina at Jardines Punta Cana Village

Its my second visit, and there will be more! Thanks to my host Alejandro, always there to help with any issue.

I love the name of the property. It was peaceful and quiet and the local people are friendly. The parking was a little farther than I am used too but still doable. The room was lovely and well put together. I would stay there again.

There are a few pros and cons with this property. Let me start with a con that can easily be rectiffied, to access the property you need to get through security which is good but you need to know that they sometimes ask to see a security pass, which I was not aware of. They do send you a bar code confirmation but never tell you that it's what you need to show to security. I arrived very early in the morning at 3 a.m. and security did not want to let me in, he asked for the access code, which I had no Idea what he meant. I looked through my emails and finally found the email with a bar code. The good thing is that once I got passed security finding the building was not too bad, although they have a few buildings. The pool is nice, most gym equipment works, area is nice. They also have water in fridge which is great. The have a washer/dryer combo machine which is good but I never used one so maybe they should put instructions on how to use it. The condo is big and has a nice outside deck but certain things inside are showing their age like the guestroom vanity, appears to be past it's useful age. They also have tons refills in the back storage area, but apparently they ran out of shampoo during my stay. No biggie though. One last thing, there are a few openings in the wall which permit roaches to come in and we saw a few one night and these are huge roaches so if you hate roaches stay away, although it can easily be fixed by plugging up those holes.

Great stay at Lumina I didn't use the entire apartment, but it's spacious and clean. I had no issues checking in or finding it. I had pool access. Wifi was great. Alejandro was the person I frequently chatted with for help. He was so nice and helpful! I asked for a late check-out and he was very accommodating and timely. The area is very safe for a solo-traveler. Neighbors were quiet and nice. It was a very relaxing stay!

I was very impressed with the apartment, modern and clean. I booked this apartment for my first 2 nights in Punta Cana, because of the proximity to where the Punta Cana carnival parade and festivities were going to take place. I saw a few pictures when booking, but thought it was a studio, but it's very spacious with one bedroom with a small walk-in closet and smart TV where you could use their Netflix, clean bathroom, a living room, a spacious open kitchen with 2 complimentary bottles of water, and also a balcony. My apartment was on the ground floor, which was nice, and I enjoyed the spacious balcony that takes you right outside. The only improvement point that I'd make is a cleaner swimming pool. It was so hot and I wanted to swim, but then I saw the pool was dirty and didn't go in.

I really enjoyed my stay here. As a woman traveling alone, it was clean, quiet, and I felt safe. It is very close to the airport, shopping centers, supermarkets, hospital, and restaurants. There is no beach nearby and the pool is for residents only. Overall, I recommend this place for anyone staying short term and/or wants to stay close to the airport where it is safe and quiet.
