Coral Redang Island Resort

El complejo es agradable, las habitaciones están limpias y el personal es muy amable. La comida del restaurante es buena, pero el menú es limitado, por lo que después de unos días te ves obligado a comer los mismos platos. A veces la playa está sucia y el personal no está dispuesto a limpiarla rápidamente, lo cual es una pena porque la ubicación es increíble. El centro de buceo es genial y cuenta con personal muy profesional, como Bob, el divemaster.

Bonita ubicación junto a la playa con vistas espectaculares; un lugar ideal para relajarse y desconectar. Todo el personal parecía estar bastante harto y solo ayudaba si se les pedía directamente. Algunos estaban sentados en el salón fumando (junto a un cartel de no fumar) en lugar de ir al bar, así que tuvimos que pedirles algo. La comida era de buena calidad, pero tardaba muchísimo en servirse. Las habitaciones eran sencillas y bastante limpias, aunque el suelo estaba lleno de arena cuando llegamos. La excursión de snorkel organizada por Coral Redang fue una experiencia increíble: vimos tortugas marinas de cerca, lo cual fue muy especial. Sin embargo, el guía nos pidió RM30 por persona directamente para que pudiéramos ir, en lugar de incluirlo en la excursión original. ¡Mención especial para la encantadora chica tatuada de la tienda de buceo, que fue muy amable y atenta! En resumen: personal un poco descuidado, habitaciones sucias y largas esperas para la comida. Recomiendo buscar otro lugar para una mejor experiencia.

Este resort de 3 estrellas se encuentra frente a una hermosa playa de arena blanca con un océano azul brillante. Todo en el resort es correcto, pero no excepcional (excepto la ubicación). Las habitaciones están limpias, el aire acondicionado funciona y hay agua caliente. Teníamos el paquete todo incluido y la comida estaba bien; repetitiva y poco sabrosa. Hay muy pocas opciones de comida en otros lugares. La accesibilidad sería un problema para personas con movilidad reducida, ya que implica subir y bajar al menos de un barco (tuvimos que subirnos a dos debido a un banco de arena). La mayoría de los huéspedes van a este resort para bucear o simplemente relajarse, no por las experiencias culinarias ni de otro tipo.

We had a most enjoyable 4D3N stay here in a Superior Room with full board and 3 snorkeling trips. What we liked: - the large, comfortable spacious room and nice balcony (we took the upper floor). - the delicious food provided during breakfast, lunch and dinner. The chef was really good and there were different variety of main dishes and dessert everyday during our stay. The guys manning the egg stations at breakfast were really good even when they had to deal with weird requests from difficult guests. - the really nice snorkeling trips with Mel. We went on 2 turtle trips with Mel and saw 5 turtles (1st trip) and 10 turtles (2nd trip). Absolutely amazing and should not be missed!! - the location of this resort had the most beautiful sunrise views. - this resort did not have the maddening crowd and noise which was really nice and pleasant. - seamless transfer to the resort from the Al Ameen Jetty Merang. On our departure day, luckily we took the 9am boat as we checked out at 8.30am after breakfast and did not have to wait long for the boat transfer. It was another seamless transfer back to the Al Ameen Jetty Merang. What we did not like: - other bad quality guests: the big group of 19 people who totally disregarded the rules to register for snorkeling and one morning, they just turned up and insisted to board our small boat to go out. The boat became overloaded with 40 people and many people had to stand. We could not go far and ended up at one nearby site just opposite the resort. Amazingly not all 19 people snorkeled as they just wanted to 'take selfies' and then because of the rough seas, many became seasick onboard the boat. This was a safety issue as rules should not have been disregarded and these 19 people should not have been allowed to go out as they did not register for the snorkeling trips on time. And, they were not even interested in snorkeling. Thankfully, this only happened once for us as we were so lucky that we did not coincide anymore snorkeling trips with these bad guests.

The hotel is clean and modern. However, amenities are basic too. While it's a full board which include 3 meals a day, the quality and selection of the food is just okay. Nothing to shout about. To me, the food is rather under season most of the time.

Love redang so much. we been here for second time. we chose superior room and room was clean. everythinn the same 5years ago. wish they renovate their bath room for a clean look. but anyway service was good. well maintained. aircond is cool. staff good. love the snorkeling trip everytime. staff so helpful even though the wave is not so kind this time but still we snorkeling everyday. they bringn us to different spot each time its get better place. lots of fish and corals. food is okay2. not so great but enough. its not 5 star hotel after all. just comfortable ☺️. the front beach is the best. we play with the wave , beach until 7pm everyday. after all its value for money.
