Janna 'e Sole Resort

This hotel is lovely clean and calm. The staff work so hard to ensure everyone is happy and spotlessly clean especially the entertainment team they make you feel so welcome and special including you in day activities such as yoga or aqua gym and in the evening they have a great baby/kids disco followed by games and shows for all the family to enjoy. The beaches here are incredible and they run a shuttle train if unable to walk but we walked down most days and snorkelled seeing lots of fish, hermit crabs as the waters are crystal clear you can see everything. The food has a great selection for all ages and not just the same every night which is great. The views are insane and at night even prettier. Probably one of the best hotels I have been to for alcoholic drinks they all taste great esp the beers. Overall we would come back and rarely say this for hotels can’t fault it and we loved and enjoyed every second of our holiday

My family and I were so excited for a break in Sardinia but sadly it didn't take long until that excitement turned to disappointment. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the hotel manager who took our suitcases and directed us to the check in. The check in process was relatively straight forwards and we were directed outside for welcome drinks and to wait for a golf caddy to take us and our luggage to our room. There weren't any welcome drinks on the table so these hadn't been replenished ready for the next set of guests and there was a good 15 minute wait for the golf caddy - had we have known how close our room was we would have just walked! Once we were taken to our room, we were disappointed to find we were in a first floor room despite requesting a ground floor room due to needing a pram for our baby. Not only this, I felt sorry for the cleaners as they had to carry a wooden cot to a first floor room for our baby. The cot wasn't particularly clean but bedding was provided - we took our own anyway so our baby had familiar smells. Our room was not very clean and several things weren't as they should have been: - handprint on the mirror with a dead mosquito somehow attached to it - broken shower screen - shower did not drain properly so could not use the shower on full power - bed linen was not changed every day despite cleaners visiting daily - some days we were given fresh water, some days we weren't - visible mould around the windows in the bedroom and bathroom - sink not attached to the vanity unit - a few coat hangers provided despite there being three wardrobes - an electrical unit in the room with several LED's which was very annoying at night In terms of the 'terrace or balcony', it isn't stated anywhere that these are shared! We felt uncomfortable using our terrace when our neighbours were using it, therefore we didn't benefit from this much. The furniture on the terrace was in poor condition too. In terms of the pool, the reviews are true.. they're all absolutely freezing. Once you're in it's not that bad but not many people wanted to go in a freezing cold pool. Loud music is also played by the pool in the morning and late afternoon, not really what you want to hear when you're trying to relax or have a sleeping baby! Food wise it was not great - the food tasted incredibly cheap, a lot of the dishes were fish, and there wasn't much variety (I think maybe 4 hot dishes to choose from). Desserts were ok, all tasted very bland but they weren't unpleasant so we ate a few of them. The only reason I've given this rating a 2 is due to the pizza which was made fresh outside the restaurant - we lived on this for the whole week we were there. We took a trip to the local supermarket (5 mins drive) and got some snacks to last our stay as we were not satisfied with the food on offer. Personally we found the entertainment team very pushy and we did have a couple of rude encounters with one of the entertainment chaps with the brown cur

Excellent resort to spend your holiday. We stayed with my family in May, and we can say with certainty that Janna e Sole Resort is a wonderful place. The Italian food is extraordinary. I love the pasta and the desserts, spectacular. A greeting to the Maitre always courteous and to Cristina very nice. The pizza is exceptional, we ate plenty of it. Very knowledgeable entertainment team. Momo always ready to make you laugh, and Ivan “the terrible” is a really nice guy. The rooms are also very clean and comfortable. Very nice also the little train that takes you to the beach. We will take with us a beautiful memory of this holiday.

We read reviews a couple of days before our departure, recent ones left by UK travellers were all bad, we even contacted TUI to see whether we could change to another hotel, it was too late! Our expectations were low and almost dreading the holiday as taking parents in their 70's with us. We arrived and checked in, our room was not ready so the receptionist suggested that we went to the restaurant for lunch and a drink. Our first impression, we sat outside and had some freshly made pizza, which was amazing. Self service with a choice of toppings served from a pizza hatch. This was open daily for lunch and evening. ROOM We were allocated room 306 a double second floor room. The room was very spacious, high ceiling with a comfortable/firm bed. The bed sheets were crisp/clean. Plenty of wardrobe space. The bathroom was also spacious, shower was a little tired looking, however the shower worked well/powerful. The maid left a fresh bottle of water every day. In room tray with kettle/tea, coffee etc...which we didn't use as we used the coffee machine at the main bar. Free in room safe. GROUNDS The lawns, flowers and shrubs were colourful and well kept. POOLS Spacious and clean, plenty of sun loungers. We used the adult only pool, which had a snack bar and bar near it. We used the bar for drinks and had chips one day that were cooked to order. We preferred to use the pizza hatch and main restaurant near the other pools. Sun loungers were a bit hard, not the most comfortable but pretty much what you find across Italy. RESTAURANT People used to queue for opening 7.30pm in the evening, we never got involved with this and went in around 8-8.15pm, we never had a problem finding a table for 4 in the large/bright dining area near the carvery area. There was an excellent choice of food eg, salads, meats, fish, pasta, vegetables and desserts including a choice of ice-cream. Only criticism sometimes there was little choice of dessert left once we'd had our salad starter and main course. The red & white wine were both OK ENTERTAINMENT Daytime - full programme. Ivan (Italian rep) animation team talked us into playing boules one day which was fun. Only a few English guests playing. Club Coralia for the French guests seemed to have a separate programme running. EVENING There was an Italian female singer, she had a great voice and there was a range of songs mainly English, some Italian and French. Giorgio (Animation Team) also sang a couple of times and we thought he had a great voice too. After dinner the Animation team would get people up singing, dancing etc... STAFF We found all the staff including: Bar, Restaurant, Animation, Reception and Cleaners very friendly. A few that stood out for us and are a credit to the hotel were: Ivan & Giorgio - Animation Alex & Karli - Bar (Karli male member of staff on bar, no name badge, we asked his name) there were many more that greeted you with a friendly smile too. Wow don't no how 4 stars. Normally when I read reviews, I don't always believe not until I get and see for myself. But the people that are writing bad reviews are 100% right. The food is loop warm or cold never hot. Always check your meat. Had meatballs and pork both under cooked. Meatballs were raw. Lunch stops 2.30pm and dinner not till 7.30 pm. There is a lady on the bar my and she is soo rude. Very small shop on site. Lady working There doesn't speak any English and never has any change. So moans in her own language. She is very rude Children's pool is freezing cold. Well all pools are freezing. Children's play area is a mess and few bits broken like the steps. The children's entertainment doesn't start till 9.30pm and for 30 minutes. Entertainment is ood but is late start, especially full.The children. Also food not good for little ones The entertainment team are lovely momo he is great and giogrio The rooms are clean. Cleaned everyday. So is the toilets in the main square. But needs updating. The men on the bar are friendly and most the waitress is friendly. The taxi's are so expensive. Didn't see a bus in the whole week i was here. So they like the French they have activities in the day English are not allowed to do but French are The entertainment is for them. Same in restaurant English not allowed to sit in certain places. They don't like English. I would not recommend. Don't know how this is 4 star. Its so crap Don't waste your money

Had a brilliant time away from janna e sole we travel a lot room was not up to standard went to reception to ask if we could hire bikes told us to wait for Tui rep asked about buses no buses until middle june if you go take an extra 500 for taxis they are not interested in English visitors just all about entertaining the French shocked isn’t the word turned away from an extra seating dining room as it was for French will never stop in a Tui hotel again this is why you only see bedrooms on the booking they don’t show you where your actually staying on arrival was given key went to room we had to wait 2 hours for an electrician to get the electric working topped off by brown water coming out of toilet sink after a bad storm no pleasant definitely go back to Sardinia but this complex is out in sticks
