We stayed for four nights in this lovely farm house and loved every minute of it. Room: We split our time between two double rooms and liked them both. They are spacious, with high ceilings and hewn timber beams. The shower was outstanding. Don't expect luxury (WiFi was spotty, not a lot of outlets, no TV), but if you want luxury don't go to a farm house. Location: Couldn't be more lovely. Gentle rolling hills and sheep grazing, against a backdrop of craggy mountains. Close enough to the main road and restaurants to be convenient, but far enough away to be quiet. Hospitality: Maria and Fabrizio are very welcoming and made us feel at home. Fabrizio initially seems a little taciturn, but we ended up liking him very much. They clearly take genuine pride in their house and their food. Food: Oh, the food, the food, the food! We have traveled extensively, and the breakfast here is the best we have ever had. Every day there was a different selection of fresh local delicacies. And you must stay for at least one of Maria's incredible dinners, a multi-course affair which is centered around ingredients they grow themselves and ably explained by the hosts. After a week in Sicily I can say that dinner here was the best dining experience of our trip. So don't hesitate to book here. It's a tad pricey, but worth it, and hey...life is short.
