I couldn’t find a hotel that I wanted to stay in when visiting Villa Adriana and Villa d’Este, so took a beautiful 40 minute drive through the Apennine’s and was indulged at this oasis. The hotel room was gorgeous, dinner excellent, breakfast options extensive and fabulous as was all the staff.

Io e mia moglie abbiamo soggiornato all’hotel Federico II dal 15 al 20 di settembre, L’hotel è molto moderno con camere spaziose e ben arredate. La tariffa del soggiorno comprende un’ottima e abbondante colazione a buffet e l’hotel ha un ampio parcheggio gratuito parte scoperto e parte coperto. Il personale dell’accoglienza è molto cortese, competente e disponibile. Da segnalare anche la posizione dell’hotel: si trova a circa dieci minuti a piedi dall’inizio della strada centrale dell’Aquila, quindi molto comodo per la visita della città e per raggiungere i ristoranti; inoltre la sua posizione è anche comoda sia per arrivarci in auto che per uscire dalla città stessa per raggiungere i luoghi di interesse turistico dell’Aquilano. Senz’altro da raccomandare.

It’s not just an hotel, it’s an experience that brings you back to another world as you are staying within an old village and where beauty, respect of art and culture are at the centre of Sextanio’s hospitality. The kindness and passion of the staff are remarkable and we honestly had one of the best experiences ever. The rooms are little gems, with great touches, breathtaking views, and if you get the superior rooms, the fireplace and bath tub are special. Can’t wait to be there again - thanks so much!

Well, this hotel was an amazing surprise, located just 14 mins by car from the historical centre of L'Aquila, it is perfect for that getaway or for travellers wanting a little more room. My room had a twin bed and a luxurious sofa that I made use of on the days I needed to stay in. Car Park onsite, Breakfast is included and they have an amazing selection of food to choose from. The restaurant 'Spapiza', serving high quality products at a very reasonable price, an abundant serving that will certainly fill the tummy of all. Staff and Management are lovely and have the time to speak to you and ask how your day is. This Hotel makes me feel like I belong and I'm not just another customer.

HO TRASCORSO QUATTRO BELLISSIMI GIORNI IN QUESTA STRUTTURA, TUTTO IL PERSONALE È STATO MOLTO DISPONIBILE AD ACCOGLIERE LE NOSTRE ESIGENZE NEL LIMITE DEL POSSIBILE NATURALMENTE. LA STANZA PUR NON ESSENDO IL MASSIMO DELL'ELEGANZA, È STATA COMUNQUE CONFORTEVOLE, PULITA E CON UN BAGNO NUOVO E GRANDE. IL CIBO È DI QUALITÀ, COMPLIMENTI ALLO CHEF, UN GRAZIE ANCHE A TUTTO IL PERSONALE DELLA SALA SEMPRE ATTENTO E VELOCE A SERVIRCI LE PORTATE. UNICA PECCA, CHE PERÒ NON SCALFISCE IL GIUDIZIO POSITIVO SULLA STRUTTURA, È IL RISCALDAMENTO TROPPO BASSO DELLA SALA RISTORANTE CHE CI HA COSTRETTI A MANGIARE COL GIUBBOTTO. A days cooking class with the skilled and funny chef Antonella It was informative, enjoyable and tasty time. Her family run the hotel and assist and we met them all. We helped to prepare Fagolini soup, local pasta and sauce ( lamb and ricotta flakes); meatballs and the sweet pinelle d’Abruzzo. With our broken Italian and her better English we learned about the food and the stories of her childhood. Our group were amazed at the taste and quality of food made from simple ingredients. Added to that were the rose, white and red wines from their vineyard. We sat and ate in the sunny dining room looking at the beautiful view A terrific experience. We learned a great deal and had a wonderful time. Most of all we will remember the warmth and kindness of Antonella and her family.
