Nausicaa Beach

We had a great stay at this hotel in Cyprus. The rooms were clean, the pool area was well-kept, and the location made it easy to explore both the beach and nearby restaurants. What really stood out, though, were the bartenders. They were professional, friendly without being over the top, and clearly took pride in their work. Whether it was a classic drink or a custom request, they got it right every time. Their presence gave the evenings a relaxed and welcoming vibe. Overall, the hotel offered good value and a calm, pleasant atmosphere. We’d definitely consider coming back.

This was our second visit to Nausicca beach having been there in October 2024. This is the only hotel that we have ever returned to in 20+ years of holidays so this obviously says more than a review can. However I’ll try to assist the hotel and other guests to make the hotel and experience even better than it is already. Positives - Location is fantastic- right by two wonderful beach’s, a small cove and steps directly in to the sea. 10 minute walk to Protarus Steip which is full of shops, bars (with entertainment), restaurants and supermarkets Staff are one of the hotels best features. Special mention to Sam in the bar(s), Danielle in the restaurant and (sorry didn’t get her name) the lady in reception with blonde curly hair. They all are go over and above to make your holiday memorable. Food is excellent and a great variety is provided an each day with a different theme for each night. To be improved- Food on arrival. If you miss the evening meal which most UK travellers will you’ll get a sandwich (no butter with one half cheese and the other ham with a slice of lettuce), bottle of water and a carton of juice in your room. This in my opinion is really poor and such a let down after a long day travelling. Every other hotel we’ve been to you get access to the restaurant where cold food is available to help yourself too and a drink either alcoholic or non alcoholic. Rooms are OK but when compared to the other areas of the hotel such as restaurant, evening bar and reception are looking like they’ve been left a long time with updating. We had two rooms and the curtain in one was extremely thread bare and come off the rails when opened (which we fixed). Cleaning - they do ok but just enough. No fresh sheets unless asked for and one day we had no cleaner at all as it was there day off. Breakfast - whilst I’ve praised the food etc one small niggle is no fresh orange juice at breakfast. You can get watered down orange and apple juice but it’s not the same. Entertainment- I get this hotel is aimed at kids mainly and the daily activity is varied and things put on for adults in term of yoga etc but the night entertainment isn’t great. They had two outside acts which you’ll see down on The Strip. The entertainment team make an effort and try their best and the kids loved it but not for me. Therefore we generally went out each night and came back to see Sam for last orders. Also - you need to go downstairs to get a drink if watching the evening entertainment- why not offer table service? Seats - the seats in the restaurant and evening entertainment really need cushions to seat on. There are a few in the restaurant so people are walking g around trying to “borrow” them. Now these things to be improved are an easy fix (with the exception of updating the rooms) and will make the whole experience just perfect and tip my score over to a 5*. Took my 14 month old daughter here for her proper holiday abroad from 1st June to 15th June. We stayed in room 112 which was a lovely room with an incredible sea view. I’ve stayed in many different hotels around the world and have never stayed anywhere where you have assigned sun beds. At check in we were given an umbrella number for our sun beds for the stay. When we sat at different sun beds we were moved on. Elwan deals with the sun beds and was able to move us to different beds. However these wouldn’t have been the beds I’d pick if I had a choice. I’d much rather get up and reserve the beds I’d like than be stuck in the same place with the same people. A few people we spoke to also requested to be moved. Which is something Elwan will work hard to do however this isn’t always possible. I understand this is something they are trailing however I do hope it’s scrapped if I was to stay again. Because of the sun bed situation we did spend more time at the beach for 7.50 euros a day you get 2 sun beds and an umbrella. The dining room has lots of choice for everyone so there’s always something. All the staff in the dining room were really nice and helpful and work very hard. Mounir in the dining room was so good with my daughter. He always came over to say hello to her and remembered her name. Mahmoud who runs the dining room is really nice and friendly. He went above and beyond helping my daughter when sadly she became unwell. He arranged for her to be seen by the hotel doctor straight away. Unfortunately my daughter ended up in hospital in Cyprus for 2 nights. Mahmoud was so worried about her he came to visit her on his day off. He visited on serval occasions and even brought us all soft drinks. Being in another country with your 14 month old in hospital is every parents worse nightmare. But seeing a friendly face from the hotel and having that help and support from Mahmoud made it easier. I can not thank him enough for all he done for her. When my daughter got out of hospital we was visited by the tui rep. I asked if Bamse the children entertainment bear was around to cheer her up. I was told for 30 euros I could arrange a meet and greet. As we had spent over 2 days in hospital and had paid out extra charges I asked if this was something Tui could arrange as a goodwill on this occasion given the circumstances. The rep said they would look into it but we never heard back and my daughter didn’t get to see Bamse before we left. I thought this was very poor for a company like Tui as it was only a small request but would have meant a lot. Apart from that I can’t fault the place and would love to bring my daughter back one day. It’s so close to the beach. The gardens are lovely and the hotel is kept to good standards. All the staff I dealt with were really nice and helpful but Mahmoud and Mounir definitely made our stay.

Very nice staff, especially the bar and restaurant staff. Great food, many different options even for me who doesn’t eat meat.

I was there one week with my son, husbend and other relatives. It was my thirt time there. Absolutely love that hotel❤️ nothing bad words. The staff, the food, the comfort, everything was perfect.

To start, usually after 7 days in the sun I am ready to come home, on this occasion I wasn't. Not the most luxurious hotel, but this one felt like home a large compliment from me. The hotel staff in general are all kind, welcoming and hard working. We had a lovely welcome at reception Our room 314, had beautiful view, it was large, clean, thank you Koula. The beds were very large and along with the pillows, were comfortable. Lots of wardrobe space in bedroom & lounge area & it had a decent hairdryer too, a definite positive for me. There was a coffee filter machine, not a coffee pod machine, sachets of coffee, tea bags, sugar & milk are provided in the room. Usually when we go all inc, we eat out 3-4 night, just our choice but the hotel food was so good, such a variety we only ate out once. I have a special mention to Fatma, a very welcoming lady in the restaurant. The restaurant is run like a tight ship, the chef's quick to replenish and a different cuisine theme each night, all very professional. The Egyptian guys on the bar deserve a shout out, sorry we didn't get your names. They were great, chatty, happy ready to share a joke. All the bar staff were lovely, couldn't fault any of them at all. Cocktails were lethal in the amount of alcohol in them. I was happy, the husband not that keen on the KEO beer, a bit weak in his opinion. The cleaners around the bar seating area worked constantly throughout the day taking such pride in their work. The snack bar was a great alternative for lunch. Salad boxes a very large, pizza tasty, burgers juicy, again clean and tidy always. You get a beach towel in your room on arrival, and these can be exchanged in a little wooden hut located under the stairs near the Taverna restaurant, just at the side of the large pool. The sunbeds are allocated on arrival, great idea it meant the mornings were very relaxed, we rarely saw any one on the beds before 9.30am. Our first sunbeds ones were numbered 177, had amazing views over the bay area. They are far from the main pool, close to the activity pool (which is so cold, it needs to be heated) and in a quiet area, too quiet for me. We did ask to be moved and luckily, 2 beds, numbered 092, were close to the main pool & had become free that day. The evenings were quiet, the main stage is near the activity pool, so away from the main bar. There is an adequate bar near the stage, so you don't need to walk back to the main pool bar for drinks. In the main bar, there was a singer each night for 45 mins named Jaun. He played guitar and was open to requests, he was very good, easy to listen too. Protaras is a short walk, less than 10 mins a & we went there 3 nights. The Love Boat our main destination. We ate there once, and the portions are huge. Only 1 downside, mentioned in another review, the evening entertainment, it's not adult centred even after 9.30pm.
