El hotel es muy limpio, las instalaciones son buenas, las ventanas están lejos, las montañas están lejos, la mañana y la tarde tienen un paisaje atractivo. Café y comida sencilla en el saloon, especialmente las fresas fritas, con gusto de cerveza, muy saboroso, comió varias veces consecuentemente. Al final, el pequeño hermano del tienda envió un gran plato, dijo que no podía traerlo de vuelta a la habitación y comer lentamente. La pequeña ciudad del norte, inolvidable.

Oh My God. Do your diligence and Please Please check your reviews on this place. My bed had literal urine on it. Hairs on pillowcases. Floors and bathroom disgusting. No TV service. Host was nice enough but the transients checking out my car within 15 minutes was unnerving. I recommend staying away from this establishment

Let me start by saying I hate that I have to slam a hotel in a place I travel to periodically but, this is place is just awful. Any place that has to put magic tree air fresheners under the sink in the bathroom to try and drown out the smell of smoke in the walls...... This hotel needs updating and fast. I am not sure whether it is being used as a place to house people in need but all I saw all weekend was people smoking outside the front entrance. On the morning of the first full day there, they managed to only make one bed out of the two. Add that to the awful customer service, the hot tub being old and jet controls not working and the uneven ground around the pool area. It shouldn't even get 1 star if truth me told..... I wouldn't stay there again until it gets updated and refurbished. I had breathing issues with the smoke smell in the bathroom walls and it has the potential for anyone with allergies and asthma to have exactly the same issues. This wasn't cheap when we booked it, but I will be sticking ONLY to the newer hotels in town from here on in.

Amazing stay at the Carmel. Super clean, renovate, friendly staff, 24 hr front staff so very safe. I travelled with my dog and easy access room was a bonus. Definitely would stay here again. Reasonable price as well. Close to great restaurants. Would have been nice to have a take out menu for the onsite restaurant in the room as it’s not online. Also back parking area could use a garbage pick up.

Nice stay, standard Sandman offerings. Pool and Hot Tub are also good. Very warm and comfortable lobby with work areas and a lounge too. Highlight was the food? This is Northern BC and a hotel restaurant what can one expect? Three wins: 1) Asian and global touches made the food really delicious and interesting ( flavoured spice on snow peas along with Calamari). I had a pretty impressive bowl of Japanese Ramen (see pic). 2) Breakfast Yogurt with raspberry compote, honey, dulce de leche and granola was so delicious for a healthy option. I ate it daily and as my business was lecturing on my feed for 8 hours and UNBC - it was quality food fuel. 3) Frequent or busy travellers, don’t miss their multiple options for “breakfast on the go” at the front desk. Have to order the night before but serious health/Protein option at a very fair price.

This was an overnight stay as I took the Jasper to Prince Rupert train which lays over in Prince George. Google street viewing the area around this and all other hotels in the town centre doesn't paint a good picture. However there was absolutely nothing wrong with the hotel. Check in was carried out efficiently and no problem with the room. Comfortable bed, bathroom in good condition and nice to see dispensers for shampoo, body wash etc rather than small wasteful bottles. Other facilities (not all used) like a coffee machine and WiFi worked fine. Breakfast was a self service and reasonable selection of foods. Some use of disposable plates and cups rather than crockery.
