This resort as well as our stay was next level. The surroundings are just gorgeous but the people are the heartbeat of this resort. Don't miss fishing on one of their traditional long tail boats, snorkeling with their knowledgeable staff or enjoying the many other water activities. You can definitely unwind here, and our family made memories we will never forget!

Love the peaceful atmosphere, the food and the hotel bed. We had a blast and our children love the food and the playground.

This has got to be one of the best experience I have had. There were 2 of us during this green season so we were basically the only guests during our 2-night stay which made the experience even better as we were really looking forward to having some quiet times together. The staff was just super attentive and really took care of us as they planned multiple activities for us. The highlight was the afternoon tea by the beach and the foods! Everything just tasted so goooood. My favorite was the special prawn soup the chef prepared for us, just heaven. Cannot wait to go back!

Took a short break from work and city noise to Koh Russey Resort for 2 nights and it gave me exactly what needed—stillness, beauty, and a lot of sun. The architecture is stunning—modern yet rooted in Khmer elegance—and the staff? Super cool and thoughtful. I had a lot of lovely conversations with them. I stayed in a villa and the room was huge. We even have a mini pool to ourselves by the beach. My god, the foods, at least for me, were amazing. Can’t wait to visit again. If you’re looking for a place to reconnect with nature . I would recommend this place.

During our stay at the Koh Russey Resort in mid-January, we experienced a perfect blend of luxury, relaxation, and pristine nature. Staying for four nights in a beachside villa, the experience exceeded our expectations in nearly every aspect. Room Experience: Our beachfront bungalow with a private pool was a dream. The villa was spacious, spotless, and filled with natural light, thanks to large windows on both sides. The layout, including a massive bathroom and an inner garden, provided a serene yet luxurious atmosphere. Fitness Facilities: Although I did not use the gym, I observed that it offered two separate spaces—one for cardio and equipment and another for yoga or aerobics. Both areas looked modern and inviting, with plenty of natural light from large windows. Dining Options: The dining experience was exceptional. The resort alternated between two restaurants, both offering high-quality dishes with meticulous attention to detail. Service was impeccable—staff refreshed silverware immediately and served drinks with precision. Individual requests were also prioritized. For example, even when outdoor tables were fully occupied, the team set up an additional one to accommodate us. The service during meals and the efficient housekeeping (cleaning during breakfast, turndown service at dinner) stood out as highlights. Service Quality: The personal attention from the staff was exceptional. Despite the resort’s large size, the staff made every guest feel recognized and valued. They engaged in conversations and catered to individual preferences, creating a warm and personalized experience. Quiet and Atmosphere: The resort was a peaceful paradise. Situated on its own island with only one other distant resort, it offered a secluded, natural escape. Endless stretches of fine sandy beach, lush vegetation, and breathtaking ocean views created a setting straight out of a dream. Location and Accessibility: The island location enhanced the adventure. The transfer via a private speedboat from the resort’s mainland jetty was part of the charm. While there are few activities outside the resort, guests can explore scenic walking paths and lookout points on the island. The resort also offers excursions, including boat trips, visits to nearby islands, and tours on the mainland. However, we found the prices for these excursions quite high and decided against them. General Facilities: The spa was a highlight, providing professional treatments in beautifully designed spaces. We also enjoyed the resort’s centerpiece—a stunning infinity pool overlooking the beach and sea, perfectly integrated into the landscape near the main restaurant. Opportunities for Improvement: There was little to criticize. While the high prices for food and excursions might deter some, we felt they aligned with the resort’s luxury status and location. The resort location and the stylish rooms are the good things to look forward to in this resort. We stayed for 3 nights in the 1 Bedroom beach pool villa with breakfast. The breakfast buffet had sufficient choice and when asked the staff did accommodate for dietary choices. The staff though completely undertrained for the role in hospitality are friendly and serve you with a genuine smile on their faces in keeping with their culture and customs. The downside is that the prices you pay for the whole stay does not compare to the service you are given. It is a 5 star resort accommodation and we have certain expectations when the price tag is higher, which we didn’t mind paying. But after our stay we felt cheated because besides the room with a pool by the beach, we did not receive any of the service that one would expect for a five star resort nor one with the hefty price tag. We talked with the manager “Samanta” and gave feedback about the undertrained staff, lack of English speaking staff, understaffing in general and the poor quality of the food. When we had an issue with the food, they did not charge us for it though we would have preferred to have had a nice dinner with quality food to round out our holiday experience. The manager was understanding and listened to our concerns and that helped a bit. She admitted that the staff are all new hires and still needed to undergo intensive training to bring to the required level which takes time. While I sympathize with the manager’s situation, i however absolutely disagree that the onus is on the customer to bear with the fact that the management did not train the staff before the season started. We did not pay a heftily discounted rate for our stay so why should we as the customer have to suffer for the poor management of resources. That is my biggest grievance with this stay. I was unsure whether i wanted to waste my time by writing a review but i think the hotel management should take corrective actions to improve the overall experience and bring it in line with the price that they charge their customers.
